Newington Longeville Charters: Transcribed and Edited with an Introduction (Classic Reprint)Excerpt from Newington Longeville Charters: Transcribed and Edited With an Introduction Some eight years ago the Warden and Fellows of New College voted a sum of f, 50 to be spent on printing some of the College records, and suggested that the deeds of Newington Longeville would be suitable. In the course of 1914 some progress was made, but nothing more was done until after the War. When the Oxfordshire Record Society was founded the Committee accepted the material, although it concerns Buckinghamshire rather more than Oxfordshire, on the ground that the grant of New College would enable the subscribers to receive a larger volume for their subscription. The thanks of the Society are due to New College, who have allowed their grant to be used in this way. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
