it was amazing
bookshelves: nonfiction, cooking-household-culture
Read 2 times. Last read August 1, 2009.

I found the 1945 edition of this book on the free shelves outside the library ... learned a lot about "Managing the Small Household" with only one servant!

Cate And that slave is a sweet, red-headed one, isn't it??

Meghan Pinson Not so sure she's sweet, but the red hair is right. And she needs to get her butt moving on the laundry right about now.

Jo I am reading the 1965 printing...also from a library sale :) I am only a bit in so far, however, I learned that I need to wear a hat or veil when engaged to speak in public!!
