[Assented to 2nd March, 1872.] MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN : THEREAS it appears by messages from His Excellency Preamble. the Honourable William Pearce Howland, C. B., Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario, and the estimates accompanying the same, that the sums hereinafter mentioned in schedules “A” and “B” in this Act, are required to defray certain expenses of the Civil Government of this Province, and of the public service thereof, and for other purposes, for the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, and to make good certain expenditures made in the years one thousand eight hundred and seventy and one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one ; May it therefore please your Majesty, that it may be enacted, and it is hereby enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, as follows : . 1.
