PREFACE

The chapter on Philology is omitted this year, and its place taken by that on Grammar, Lexicography, and Metric, which last appeared in 1911. Other chapters covering the work of two years are those on New Testament, Hellenistic Greek, and Modern Greek.

The period included in the other articles is the year from July 1st, 1912, to June 30th, 1913. In a few cases books and papers outside those dates are referred to, and excavations of the season of 1913 are included.
