The preparation of the present edition has afforded him an opportunity of considering at some length the important case of Whitworth v. Gaugain; and he has spared no labour in endeavouring to supply whatever additional information seemed to come properly within the limits of his subject. As the old law has not been repealed, and purchasers and mortgagees without notice are still unaffected by the provisions of the statutes of Victoria for enlarging the rights of the judgment creditor, it has been the |
