Such report shall be presented to said corporation at its annual meeting, and entered in the minutes of its proceedings, and shall, within thirty days thereafter, be filed in the clerk's office of the county in which said college or university is located.

AN ACT to authorize the present surrogate of the county of Warren to sign and perfect certain records of his predecessor in office.

SECTION 1. The present surrogate of the county of Warren or his Surrogate successor in office is hereby authorized and empowered to sign his to sign name as surrogate to all records and entries upon the books of record etc. in his office which are or have been unsigned by his predecessor or predecessors in office specifying thereon the date of such signing.

§ 2. After such signing by the present surrogate or his successor in office, such records shall have the same force and effect as if the same had been originally signed by such predecessor or predecessors. §3. This act shall take effect immediately.

For costs of suits, fees of sheriffs, compensation of witnesses, and office expenses, the sum of one thousand dollars, and any balance which may now remain on hand of previons appropriations, and the amount paid shall in each case be certified by the attorney-general. The salaries of the deputies, clerks, stenographer and messenger in the office of the attorney-general shall be fixed by the attorney-general, and he shall have the authority to employ as many deputies and clerks as he may need, and a stenographer and messenger, and to designate their salaries out of the appropriations therefor herein made, but the aggregate of their salaries shall not exceed the total of the appropriations herein made for deputies, clerks, for stenographer and for messenger, and the attorney-general may appoint clerks and a messenger and a stenographer, whose salaries shall commence on the first day of March, eighteen hundred and eighty-two, at the amounts fixed by him, the total whereof shall not exceed the sum of nine thousand dollars hereby appropriated.
