Rep. Branin, of New Jersey, from the Committee on Petitions, presented the following report.

To the R. W. Grand Lodge of the United States:

The Committee on Petitions, to whom was referred the application from the Grand Encampment of Ohio, soliciting the "Grand Encampment Degree," and praying that this Grand Lodge would inform, through the Grand Secretary, Nimrod Encampment, No. 3, at Steubenville, Ohio, of the existence of the above Grand Encampment in the state of Ohio, directing said Nimrod Encampment, No. 3, to make itself subordinate to it, ask leave respectfully to report by the following resolutions.

Resolved, That the R. W. Grand Lodge of the United States, I. O. of O. F., in the work of the Patriarchal branch of the Order, has adopted no degree superior to that of the R. P. D.

Resolved, That Nimrod Encampment, No. 3, Steubenville, Ohio, be and is hereby directed to make its subordination to the Grand Encampment of Ohio, at Cincinnati. Resolved, That the Grand Secretary be and is hereby directed to notify the Grand Encampment of Ohio, of the two above resolutions, and Nimrod Encampment, No. 3, Steubenville, of the second.

On motion, the report was accepted.

A motion was made to adjourn sine die, and was determined in the negative.

The resolutions were then considered separately. The first resolution was adopted.

The question then recurred on the second resolution.

The yeas and nays being called, were as follows.

YEAS-Rep's Marley, Frost, McGowan, Moore, Wolford; Bain, 2 votes; and Wildey-8.

NAYS-Rep's Williamson, Hewitt, Brown, Branin, and Ridgely, 2

votes-6.

So the resolution was adopted.

The question then recurring on the third resolution, it was decided in the affirmative.

On motion, the Grand Lodge closed the Annual Session.

It appearing that a constitutional quorum was present, the D. Grand Sire was directed to examine the Representatives.

The D. Grand Sire reported that the Representatives present were duly qualified; and then by order of the Grand Sire, proclaimed the Grand Lodge duly opened for the transaction of business.
