The bill, entitled Ordered, That it be transcribed for a third reading. * An act to enable the Governor to incorporate a company for making an artificial road from Henry Hews in the county of Lycoming, by the best and nearest route to Aaron Bloss in the county of Tioga,' was read the second time as reported by a committee of the whole on Saturday last. The several sections were considered and agreed to. The title being amended by striking therefrom the words " by the best and nearest route,' was agreed to. Ordered, That said bill be prepared for a third reading. The clerk of the House of Representatives being introduced, returned the bill, entitled • An act authorizing the administrators of Israel Bringhurst to convey a certain tract of land." And informed, That the House of Representatives have passed said bill with amendments, in which the concurrence of Senate is requested. The amendments by the House of Representatives, to the said bill, were read as follow, viz. Section 1. line 3, strike out all that follows the word that to the word “unto' in line 6, and insert in lieu thereof as follows: • It shall be lawful for Mary Bringhurst and Moses Hobson, administrators of the estate of Israel Bringhurst, late of Montgomery county, deceased, or the survivor of them, on the receipt of the mouies yet due under an article of agreement made between the said Israel Bringhust and a certain Cornelius Tyson in their lifetimes, to execute a deed for a tract or parcel of land containing thirteen acres, be the same more or less, situate in Upper Providence township in said county, on the road leading from the Trap to Wismer's ford.' Line 8, make 6 articles' read article.' Preamble, line 1, strike out appears' and insert in lieu thereof has been represented.' On motion of Mr. Welles and Mr. Ross, The amendment by Senate non-concurred in by the House of Representatives, to the bill from the House of Representatives, entitled * An act to enable the Governor to incorporate a company for making an artificial road from Jersey Shore in the county of Lycoming, by the best and nearest route to Coudersport in the county of Potter,' read on Satuqday last, was again read. Whereupon, That Senate insist upon their said amendment, which was agreed to. Ordered, That the clerk inform the House of Representatives accordingly. On motion of Mr. Reed and Mr. Frailey, The resolution relative to the final adjournment of the legislature, read on the 18th December, was read the second time, and The same being under consideration, To amend the same by striking out · Friday the first and inserting Monday the eleventh.' Mr. Lowrie presented two petitions of similar tenor from sundry inhabitants of the counties of Allegheny, Indiana and Armstrong, remonstrating against a review of the road from Indiana to Pittsburg; and Said petitions were read and laid on the table. Mr. Biddle presented a petition from John Mellish, praying, that he may be employed to make a correct map of the state un. der the sanction of the legislature; and Said petition was read and referred to Mr. I. Weaver, Mr. Biddle, Mr. Lane, Mr. Ross and Mr. Lowrie. Mr. Biddle also presented from John Mellish a map of the state of Ohio, for the use of the table of Senate. Mr. Shearer presented an abstract of the accounts of the Chesnut Hill and Spring House turnpike road company, transmitted by the president and managers of said company, agreeably to law, Mr. Jarrett from the cominittee to whom was re-committed on the 9th inst. the bill, entitled • An act to enable the executors of Valentine Kloess to sell certain real estate, reported said bill with amendments, and the same was read the first time.
