The Act 10 Geo. IV. c.27, which came into operation at the 5th July, 1829, enacts, That the Sum thenceforth annually applicable to the Reduction of the National Debt of the United Kingdom, shall be the Sum which shall appear to be the amount of the whole actual annual surplus Revenue, beyond the Expenditure of the said United Kingdom; And the following Sums have been accordingly received by the Commissioners to be applied to the reduction of the said Debt including Suns on account of Donations and Bequests, viz.:

Note. The Account rendered for the Plantations for the year ending 5th January 1839, is now corrected; and as several Returns for that part of the empire are not yet received for the last year, a similar correction will be necessary when the next Account is made up. VESSELS REGISTERED.-An Account of the Number of VESSELS, with the Amount of their TONNAGE, and the Number of MEN and Boys usually employed in Navigating the same, that belonged to the several Ports of the BRITISH EMPIRE, on the 31st of December, in the Years 1837, 1838, and 1839, respectively.
