Page 24 - One hundred miles of standard-gage railway connects the port with the principal sugar plantations. The entrance to Hilo Harbor is in deep water from the north, between a coral reef and the west shore; thence it turns at a right angle to the eastward and follows inside the reef to Kuhio Bay.
