Inspected by Inspector Rogers March 22, 1904.

Keeper. Andrew J. Trimble, appointed January 1, 1896. Attached to the almshouse are 96 acres of land, all of which are reported to be under cultivation; value of land and buildings, $40,000; estimated value of labor of inmates during the year, $500; estimated value of the products of the farm, $3,654.92; receipts from sales, $208.97.

Expenses in connection with almshouse for the year ending September 30, 1904, $8,863.74; estimated weekly expense per person, $1.81; expense of temporary (outdoor) relief administered by the superintendent and overseers of the poor, $18,962.92; expense of support, in whole or in part, in institutions other than the almshouse, $11,717.26; aggregate expenditures for support and relief, $39,543.92.

Total number in the almshouse during the year, 160; remaining October 1, 1904, 82 (55 males and 27 females), including 2 feeble-minded or idiotic, 1 deaf person and 4 epileptics; number of wayfarers to whom meals were furnished at the almshouse, 55; number receiving temporary (outdoor) relief, 2,158; number supported in other institutions, 268; total supported and relieved during the year, 2,641.
