SECTION 6. So much only of the act of the twentieth of Part of act March, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-seven, and of repealed. the several supplements thereafter passed, as are inconsistent with the true intent, meaning and object of this act, are hereby repealed.

A SUPPLEMENT

To the act authorizing the Governor to incorporate a company to erect a bridge over the Monongahela river, at Williamsport, and to establish the Dunstable ferry, on the West Branch of the river Susquehanna.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the

same, That the second proviso contained in the sixth section of Second provithe act, passed the sixteenth day of March, one thousand eight so repealed. hundred and thirty-two, an act entitled An act to authorize the Governor to incorporate a company to erect a bridge over the Monongahela river, at Williamsport, to which this is a supplement, be and the same is hereby repealed."

SECTION 2. John Quigley, his heirs and assigns, shall have John Quigley the right at his, her or their cost, to make a good and convenmay make a ient landing on the north and south sides of the West Branch good landing, of the river Susquehanna, and to use the said river between the said landings as a public ferry, on the estate of the said John Quigley, situate on the great road leading across the said river, between Dunstable and Bald Eagle townships, in said county and near to the mouth of Sugar Run.

SECTION 2. The said John Quigley, his heirs and assigns, shall keep the same landing and ferry, in good order and referry in good pair, fit for the transportation and passing of men, horses, repair. other animals and carriages of all kinds, and further, shall keep good and substantial boats and qualified ferrymen, who shall constantly as occasion may require, attend for the purpose of transporting travellers, cattle and carriages as aforesaid, over the said river with all reasonable diligence and attention.

SECTION 4. The said John Quigley, his heirs or assigns, for keeping up and maintaining the said landings and ferry as aforesaid, shall receive from persons passing over the said river at said ferry, such price or fees as are customarily paid at other ferries on said West Branch of the river Susquehanna, subject to such rates and regulations as the court of Quarter Sessions of the county of Lycoming, may order and direct : Provided, That nothing in this act contained shall be construed so as to vest in the said John Quigley, his heirs and assigns, the right to receive or discharge any travellers, cattle or carriages as aforesaid, on land belonging to any other person or persons without the consent of the owner or owners of such land, or ta prevent any future Legislature from resuming the privileges hereby granted.

AN ACT

To aid the Parrysville bridge company

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of R presentatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the canal commissioners shall pay or cause to be

paid to the Perrysville bridge company in Juniata county, five hundred dollars; which sum is a part of the expense of erecting a bridge over the canal opposite Perrysville, and that this amount be paid out of the moneys appropriated for the repair of the canal: Provided, That the said bridge shall be kept in repair by the bridge company aforesaid.

A FURTHER SUPPLEMENT

To the act entitled "An act to erect the town of Milton in the county of Northumberland, and the town of Butler in the county of Butler, in boroughs," passed the twenty-sixth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventeen, and for other purposes.

SECTION 1. AN ACT

To authorize the Canal Commissioners to make a re estimate of the work done by Jonathan Leslie, in constructing the Aqueduct at Shaffer's Ford, Huntingdon county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Re presentatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the canal commissioners be, and they are hereby directed to appoint three competent engineers, who or a majori ty of them shall proceed to estimate the work done by Jonathan Leslie, in constructing the aqueduct over the Juniata river, at Shaffer's ford, and the work done by Bishop and M'Coy, in constructing an aqueduct over the Juniata river at Jack's nar rows, agreeably to the prices which were to be allowed accor ding to the agreement, between the principal engineer and acting canal commissioners, with the said Jonathan Leslie, and Bishop and M'Coy. The report to be made to the canal com missioners, and the balance due if any, to be paid in the usual

manner.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Re. presentatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That all the provisions of the act entitled An act concerning strays, passed the thirteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seven, and supplements to the same, passed the fifth day of March, one thousand eight handred and nineteen, are hereby extended to the county of Adams: Provided however, That said clerk shall not be compelled to serve more than one year in seven.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the State shall be divided into the following named counties, to wit: Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Lancaster, York, Division o Cumberland, Berks, Northampton, Bedford, Northumberland, the State inte Westmoreland, Washington, Fayette, Franklin, Montgomery, Dauphin, Luzerne, Huntingdon, Allegheny, Mifflin, Delaware, Lycoming, Somerset, Greene, Wayne, Adams, Centre, Beaver, Butler, Mercer, Crawford, Erie, Warren, Venango, Armstrong, Indiana, Jefferson, M'Kean, Clearfield, Potter, Tioga, Cambria, Bradford, Susquehanna, Schuylkill, Lehigh, Lebanon, Columbia, Union, Pike, Perry, Juniata, as the same are now by law established, and into such others as the Legislature may from time to time establish.
