AN ACT

Authorizing a temporary Loan for the use of the Commonwealth.

SECTION 1. Providing for the payment of Appraisers of Bamages.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the Governor draw his warrant on the State Treasurer, in favor of the Appraisers of damages, for suck sum or sums as may be due them respectively, on settlement of their accounts.

AN ACT

Entitled, An act to authorize Samuel Landis, guardian of Susanna and John Markly, and John Eichholtz, guardian of Ann, Daniel, Mary Henry, and Solomon Markly, minor children of John Markly, deceased, to sell and convey certain real estate.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That Samuel Landis, guardian of Susanna Markly and John Markly, and John Eichholtz, guardian of Ann Markly, Daniel Markly, Mary Markly, Henry Markly and Solomon Markly, minor children of John Markly, deceased, and devisees in the will of their grandfather, Daniel Markly, deceased, late of Lancaster county, be and they are hereby severally authorized and empowered to sell and convey, and release, in fee simple, on behalf of their respective wards, the minors aforesaid, all the right, title, interest and shares of said wards, or minors respectively, in the real estate devised to them by their said grandfather, Daniel Markly, deceased, in his will aforesaid; and each of said guardians to execute the necessary conveyances for the transfer of, or releasing of the same to the purchasers, which shall have the same legal force and effect as if said minors were of full age, and had done the same: Provided, That before the execution of said deeds or releases, the said guardians shall severally enter into bonds, with such security as shall be approved by the Orphans' Court of Lancaster

county, and there filed on record, conditioned for the faithful execution of the trust hereby committed to them, and the application of the proceeds of said sales according to law.

AN ACT

For the relief of sundry soldiers and widows of soldiers of the revolu tionary war.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the State Treasurer be, and he is hereby authorized and required to pay to William Long, of Delaware county, Annuity and and to Jacob Hammer, of Lancaster county, soldiers of the Wm. Long & gratuity to revolutionary war, or to their respective orders, forty dollars J. Hammer. each immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars each during life, to commence on the first day of January, eighteen hundred and thirty-four.

SECTION 2. The State Treasurer is hereby authorized and required to pay to Archibald Derrah, of Bucks county, or to his order, forty dollars, as a gratuity, and in full for his revolutionary services.

AN ACT

To enable the Governor to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from Bethany, to intersect the Clarksville and Honesdale turnpike, near Benjamin Jenkins', in Canaan township.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the sam", That Nathaniel B. Eldred, Hiram G. Chase, Benjamin Jenkins, John Belknap, and Henry Jennings, be, and they are hereby appointed Commissioners, to do and perform the seve ral things hereinafter mentioned; that is to say, they shall, on or before the first day of December next, procure one or more books, and enter therein as follows: " We, whose names are Form of sub- hereunto subscribed, promise to pay to the president, managers sc.iption. and company of the Bethany and Canaan turnpike road company, the sum of twenty dollars for each and every share of stock in said company set opposite to our respective names, in such manner and in such proportion, and at such times and places, as shall be determined by the president and managers of Notice of the said company.
