II. Provided always, and be it further enacted, That in cafe and whenever any fuch Capital Stock which may have been declared to be fatisfied and difcharged as aforefaid, or any Part of fuch Capital Stock, fhall not be actually cancelled in virtue of any Act or Acts of Parliament to be paffed for fuch Purpose, then and in every fuch case the Dividends of all fuch Capital Stock as may not have been cancelled fhall in the meantime and until the fame fhall be fo actually cancelled, continue to be iffued at the Receipt of the Exchequer of Ireland, and be placed to the Account of the faid Com. miffioners for the Reduction of the National Debt at the Bank of Ireland, and fhall be applied by them in the Redemption of the National Debt in fuch and the fame manner in all refpects as the Dividends of any other Capital Stock ftanding in their Names are applicable for that Purpose.

III. Provided alfo, and be it further enacted, That any fuch to purchase Pub- Capital Stock as aforefaid fhall never be deemed to be fatisfied or difcharged or be cancelled by Parliament, in fuch a manner or to any fuch Extent as might not leave in the Hands of the faid Commif. fioners a Sum fufficient (together with the other Funds or Sums of Money appropriated to them) to redeem or purchase an Amount of redeemable Public Annuities equal to fuch Part of the whole of the redeemable Annuities of the Public Debt of Ireland as exifted previous to the Twenty fecond Day of June One thousand eight hundred and two, within Forty five Years from the faid Twenty fecond Day of June One thousand eight hundred and two, and to redeem or purchase an Amount of redeemable Public Annuities equal to fuch Part thereof as hath been or shall be created fubfequent to the faid Twenty fecond Day of June One thoufand eight hundred and two, within Forty five Years from the respective Periods of the Creation of fuch redeemable Public Annuities refpectively.

IV. And in order to make more effectual Provifion for the Redemption of the Public Debt of Ireland within the Period of Forty five Years from the time of its Creation conformably to the Intent and meaning of the said recited Acts and of this Act; Be it further enacted, That all and every the quarterly Sum and Sums which by virtue of the faid recited Acts, or any of them, are directed to be iffued at the Receipt of the Exchequer of Ireland, to the Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland on account of the Commiffioners for the Reduction of the National Debt, fhall from time to time continue to be fo iffued, and fhall be applied by the faid Commiffioners pursuant to the Directions and under and according to the Reftrictions and Provifions of the said recited Acts, either in Payment for the Redemption or in the Purchase of the feveral redeemable Public Annuities of Ireland, until the whole of the Perpetual Redeemable Annuities now or which may hereafter become charged upon the Public Funds of Ireland fhall have been completely redeemed or purchased within Forty five Years from the Creation thereof as aforefaid, any thing in the faid recited Acts, or any of them, to the contrary thereof in anywise notwithstanding.

An Act to amend an Act of the Fifty first Year of His pre fent Majefty's Reign, for difcharging certain Arrears of Quit, Crown and Compofition Rents in Ireland.

HEREAS in and by an A&t paffed in the Fifty firft Year 51 G. 3. c. 91. of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, intituled An Ad for $1. difcharging certain Arrears of Quit, Crown and Compofition Rents, which have been growing due in Ireland; it is amongst other things 'enacted, that it fhall and may be lawful for every Perfon and Perfons, Bodies Politic and Corporate, at any time before the Twenty 'fifth Day of March, which will be in the Year One thoufand eight hundred and twenty one, to prefer his, her or their Petition or Peti tions to His Majefty's Court of Exchequer in Ireland, thereby fetting forth, that all or fome of the Lands, Rectory, Abbey, 'Priory, Monaftery Lands, Tythes, Fairs, Tenements and Heredit aments, in Ireland, whereof he, fhe or they is or are seised, is or are fubject or liable to fome certain Quit Rent, Crown Rent, Compofition or other Chief Rent payable to His Majefty, his 'Heirs and Succeffors, which hath not been paid for the Space of 'Twenty Years next immediately preceding the Twenty ninth Day of September in the Year One thousand eight hundred and ten, in 'fuch manner and Form, and containing fuch Particulars, as in and by the faid recited A&t is and are prefcribed, directed and appointed; ' and that if by Examinations in a fummary way it shall appear to the 'Court of Exchequer that no Quit, Crown or Compofition Rents, ' or other Rents as aforefaid, hath been paid or accounted for by 'the Collector of His Majefty's Revenue out of fuch Lands, Rec'tory, Abbey, Priory, Monaftery Lands, Tythes, Fairs, Tenements ' and Hereditaments, within the Term of Twenty Years next before the Twenty ninth Day of September One thoufand eight hundred and ten, and that no Proceedings have been had by or on behalf of His Majefty for Recovery of fuch Rent within the faid Twenty Years, the faid Court is by the faid recited Act authorized and empowered to make an Order that the faid Lands, Rectory, Abbey, Priory, Monaftery Lands, Tythes, Fairs, Tenements and He'reditaments mentioned in fuch Petition, and the Perfons who from 'time to time refpectively held and enjoyed the fame, should be absolutely freed and discharged of and from all fuch Rent and Arrears 'due or in Arrear at any time before the faid Twenty ninth Day of September One thousand eight hundred and ten; but where Pro'ceedings fhall have been had for Recovery of fuch Arrears within the Space of Twenty Years as aforefaid, and before any fuch Petition 'fhall be preferred, that then fuch Lands, Rectory, Abbey, Priory, Monaftery Lands, Tythes, Fairs, Tenements and Hereditaments, ' and the Perfons who from time to time held and enjoyed the fame, 'fhall be discharged of and from all Arrears of fuch Rents to the Twenty ninth Day of September One thousand eight hundred and four: And Whereas it is expedient to amend the faid A&t:' Be it therefore enacted by The King's Moft Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal

and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the paffing of this Act, in addition to the Order which the said Court of Exchequer is in and by the faid recited A& authorized and empowered to make, upon any Petition or Petitions filed under the Provifions of the said recited A&t, fuch Court shall and is hereby required to order and direct that the Auditor General or his Deputy fhall enquire and certify to the faid Court, by a certain Day to be appointed by the faid Court, whether any and what Proceedings had been taken by or on behalf of His Majefty, his Heirs and Succeffors, for Recovery of fuch Rents, at any time before fuch Petition or Petitions fhall have been preferred as aforefaid, and whether any and what Cofts and Expences had been incurred by or on behalf of His Majefty, his Heirs and Succeffors, for the Recovery of fuch Rents, a Copy of which Order shall be served on the Solictor of The King's Rents Ten Days at the least before the Day appointed for the making of fuch Certificate, and upon the Return of fuch Certificate the said Court of Exchequer is hereby authorized and required to make an Order on fuch Petition or Petitions; and that fuch Person or Perfons, Bodies Politic or Corporate, fo preferring his or their Petition or Petitions as aforefaid, after fuch Proceedings fhall have been had or taken on behalf of His Majefty, his Heirs or Succeffors as aforefaid, fhall in all fuch cases pay to the Solicitor for His Majefty's Rents all fuch Cofts and Expences as fhall on fuch Certificate appear to have been incurred on fuch Proceedings, the fame being duly afcertained and taxed by the proper Officers; and fuch Perfon or Perfons, Bodies Politic or Corporate, fhall pay fuch Cofts and Expences accordingly, before the faid Court of Exchequer fhall make any Order on fuch Petition or Petitions to difcharge fuch Arrears of Quit, Crown or Compofition Rents, or other Chief Rents as aforefaid; any thing in the said recited A&t to the contrary notwithstanding.

CAP. LXXII.

An Act to continue and amend so much of an Act of the Forty third Year of His prefent Majesty's Reign, for authorizing the billetting and fubjecting to Military Difcipline certain Yeomanry Corps, and Officers of Cavalry or Infantry, as relates to fuch Corps in Ireland. [22d June 1816.]

43 G. 3. c. 121. WHEREAS an Act was made in the Forty third Year of

His prefent Majefty's Reign, intituled An A& for authorizing the billetting of fuch Troops of Yeomanry and Volunteer Cavalry as may be defirous of affembling for the Purpofe of being trained together, in Great Britain and Ireland; and for fubje&ting to Military Difcipline, during the War, fuch Serjeants ferving in any Volunteer or Yeomanry Corps of Cavalry or Infantry as receive conflant • Pay, and all Trumpeters, Drummers or Bugle Men ferving therein, and receiving Pay at any Daily or Weekly Rate; and for the further regulating of fuch Yeomanry and Volunteer Corps; which A& was to continue and be in force during the Continuance of the • War, and until Six Months after the Ratification of a Definitive 34 G. 3. c. 178. Treaty of Peace with France: And Whereas by an A& made in the Fifty fourth Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, for con

tinuing fo much of the faid recited Act as relates to fuch Corps in Ireland, the said recited Act was continued until the End of this prefent Seffion of Parliament, and it is expedient that the fame 'fhould be further continued, fo far as relates to fuch Troops or • Corps in Ireland;' Be it therefore enacted by The King's Mot Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That the faid recited Recited Act, so Act of the Forty third Year of His Majefty's Reign fhall be and far as relates to continue in force, fo far as relates to any fuch Troops or Corps Corps in Ireland, in Ireland, from the time of the paffing of this Act until the Expiration of One Year next after the paffing of this Act, and from thence until the End of the then next Seffion of Parliament; and that all fuch Provisions and Regulations in the faid recited A&t contained, fo far as relates to fuch Troops or Corps in Ireland, as by the faid Act are applied during War, or during the Continuance of War, or during the Continuance of the War and until Six Months after the Ratification of fuch Definitive Treaty of Peace, fhall be in force, as amended by this Act, during the Continuance of the said recited Act as aforefaid.

II. And be it further enacted, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland for the time being, to make fuch Orders, Rules and Regulations, and from time to time to alter the fame, in relation to the Pay, Clothing and Allowances of fuch Troops and Corps, or any of them, and alfo as to any Certificates, Vouchers, Receipts or Orders for the regulating or managing fuch Pay, Clothing or Allowances, or the Iffue of any Public Money from His Majesty's Treafury in Ireland, or from any Fund whatsoever for or on account of any fuch Pay, Clothing or Allowances, and to require fuch Proofs or fuch Affidavits before any Juftice or Juftices of the Peace relating to the faid matters, or any of them, as fuch Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors fhall think fit; every fuch Order, Rule and Regulation, to be notified in the ufual manner by the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland, or, in his Absence, by the Under Secretary for the Military Department in the faid Chief Secretary's Office.
