WHEREAS, There is in the hands of the commissioners of Preamble. School Dist. No. 100, in Kent County, one hundred and fifty-one dollars and eleven cents unappropriated; and whereas, the school-house in said district has been recently destroyed by fire, and the tax-payers are unable to build another in lieu of the house destroyed as aforesaid; and whereas, the unappropriated funds in the hands of said commissioners will not be needed to defray the current expenses of maintaining a school in said district, now therefore, Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met: committee to build a house. AN ACT authorizing Alexander Jackson to pay certain monies in his hands to the Camden Board of Public Education. WHEREAS, The ancient incorporation known as the Camden Union Academy has ceased to exist, and by the direction of all the members now known to be living the real estate has been deeded to United School Districts Nos. 22 and 99 of Kent County, now incorporated as the "Camden Board of Public Education." AND WHEREAS, There is still in the possession of Alexander Jackson, late treasurer of the said academy incorporation now defunct, certain money or monies, arising from the rents of the real estate so deeded to the school districts as aforesaid, without any authority or provision for their use or payment to any person; therefore, Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Delaware in General Assembly met, (twothirds of each branch concurring therein): SECTION I. That Alexander Jackson late treasurer of Authorized Camden Union Academy as aforesaid, be and he is hereby money to authorized and empowered to pay over all money or moneys or any other of personal property now in his possession, which has come to or been received by him as the treasurer of "Camden Union Academy" to the "Camden Board of Public Education" of Camden, Kent County, Delaware. Camden SECTION 2. That upon settlement of the amounts or property in hand of said Alexander Jackson, late treasurer as aforesaid, he shall pay over and transfer the same to the treasurer of the "Camden Board of Public Education," as aforesaid, taking his receipt for the same, which receipt shall be a release. be a full release of all and every responsibility or liability of the said Alexander Jackson, treasurer, &c., as aforesaid in the premises.
