"An act amending the act approved the ninth day of April, one thousand eight hundred sixty-two, entitled 'An act to authorize the erection of a poor house by the borough of Dunmore, borough of Scranton and township of Providence, in the county of Luzerne,' as amended by an act approved the twenty-second day of April, one thousand eight hundred seventy-nine, entitled 'A supplement to an act entitled "An act to authorize the erection of a poor house by the borough of Dunmore, borough of Scranton and township of Providence, in the county of Luzerne, approved April ninth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two," by defining the Scranton poor district, providing for the election of the poor board therein, defining the powers and duties of such board, and abolishing the present office of poor directors."

With information that the House of Representatives has passed the same without amendment.

"An act relating to the acquisition and holding of property, real and personal, by any literary, scientific, educational, religious, charitable, benevolent or beneficial society, church, congregation, association or body, whether incorporated or unincorporated, or any trustee or trustees of any trust for charitable or benevolent objects of purposes, and providing for the increase of such amount and a method of procedure for obtaining the right to such increase."

With information that the House of Representatives has passed the same with amendment in which the concurrence of the Senate is requested.

That Rule 38 which requires nominations made by the Governor to be referred to proper committees be dispensed with, and the Senate do now resolve itself into executive session, for the purpose of acting on the foregoing nominations,
