in said companies, in such manner, and by such person or persons, as may be directed by the board of internal improvement, constituted by an act entitled, "an act defining the powers and duties of the board of internal improvement, and for other purposes," passed at the present session of the general assembly of the commonwealth of Kentucky: Provided, That this act shall not apply to such companies, where a provision is made in the acts of incorporation of said companies for voting of the stock belonging to the commonwealth.

CHAP. 429.-AN ACT to change the time of holding the court of Assessment for the 35th Regiment, Kentucky Militia.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That the court of assessment for the thirty-fifth regiment of Kentucky mili tia, be, and the same is hereby directed to be held on the second Monday in November of each and every year, instead of the first Monday in said month.

CHAP. 430.-AN ACT for the distribution of Morehead and
Brown's Digest, and H. Pirtle's Digest.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That the secretary of state be, and he is hereby authorized to distribute amongst the members of both houses of the legisla ture, a copy of Morehead and Brown's Digest, and a copy of H. Pirtles's Digest of the decisions of the court of appeals, one copy of each, to each member of both houses, and one copy of each, to the clerks and assistant clerks of both houses.

CHAP. 431.-AN ACT for the appropriation of money.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That the following sums of money be paid out of the public treasury, to the
