MORTON VALDEN RUCKER, married Birdie Flora (later). She is a widow now living in Memphis, Tenn. (later). Married Salina Boyd Jan. 7, 1834, in Caldwell County, Kentucky (see records). Morton A. resigned as Magistrate of Caldwell County, Kentucky, in 1852, which shows that he was once in office in that capacity. Salina B. Rucker died June 27, 1882. Issue: 1. LYNN BOYD RUCKER, (Morton A., John, James, John, John, Peter), born April 1, 1847, died July 31, 1912, married Susan Rucker Sept. 30, 1875. He has as surviving heirs Bessie Boatwright, a daughter, and Earl McCarty and K. McCarty, two grandchildren, and Limmie Rucker, deceased, Pearl McCarty, deceased, Dot Rucker, deceased, and Morton Rucker, deceased. EMILY RUCKER, (John, James, John, John, Peter), born March 29, 1813. She was married twice, first to Moore Wimberly, after his death she married Henry Sanders, who was born April 15, 1808. Issue: 1. SANDERS, born June 26, 1853. HENRIETTA WIMBERLY, (Emily, John, James, John, John, Peter), born Sept. 1, 1831. Married John L. Drennan March 13, 1850. She died Nov. 3, 1911. He was born Nov. 14, 1827, the son of Eli and Margaret (McDowell) Drennan. Margaret McDowell was a daughter of Capt. Jack McDowell. John L. Drennan died Sept. 14, 1882. Issue: 1. ALFRED M. DRENNAN, born Dec. 3, 1854, married Maggie Slater and they have four children. Mr. Drennan is an attorney living in Chicago, Ill. He is a man of great brilliance and considered one of the best attorneys in the country. He represents the I. C. Railroad in Chicago, Ill. 4. ADILADA J. DRENNAN, born June 17, 1856, married John Cate, and had nine children. 5. LAURA A. E., born Feb. 24, 1858, married James George. 6. MARGARET E. DRENNAN, born Dec. 27th, 1859, married Claton Clements and they have four children and are now living in Decatur, Ill. 7. HENRY E. DRENNAN, born Sept. 26, 1861, married Molly Maxwell. 8. GEORGE R. DRENNAN, born June 22, 1863, married Lucinda Hignight and they had four children. 9. HENRIETTA A. DRENNAN, born March 15, 1855, married Lewis Wilson, had four children, then she married Will Jacobs. 10. CORA A. DRENNAN, born Nov. 3, 1867, married Miles Scott. 11. JAMES L. DRENNAN, born Feb. 25, 1869, married first May Jones and had one child and then he married Grace Clawson and had four children. 12. THOMAS M. DRENNAN, born Sept. 20, 1870, married Blanch Sale. 13. OSCAR W. DRENNAN, born June 17, 1872, died Jan. 10, 1893, age twenty years. 14. CHARLOTTE O. DRENNAN, born April 13, 1874, married Frank Sniff and had one child who died at the age of six years. JOSHUA RUCKER, (James, John, John, Peter), born about 1790. Married Lucy Lived in Kentucky near Christiansburg, Ky. He was a preacher and a doctor. He died in Kentucky at Christiansburg. Issue: 1. He died a few years ago but his widow is living in Kentucky at present. Issue: 1. BENNIE, now living in Defoe, Kentucky. 2. LENA RUCKER, married Mr. Kelley and lives in Louisville, Ky. MOLLY RUCKER, (George, Joshua, James, John, John, Peter), married James Buckhannon Shaw. Issue: 1. CARL SHAW, of Campbellsburg, Ky. JOHN RUCKER, (John, John, Peter), married twice, firstly, Sarah or Sallie Plunkett, born in 1754, and died Dec. 14, 1796. John was born 1752, and died April 24, 1814. They were both of Amherst County, Virginia, but moved to Woodford County, Kentucky, about 1792. All their children except the youngest were born in Virginia, Lewis Dawson, the youngest, being born in Woodford County, Kentucky. John Rucker married a second time to Patsy. He was in the American Revolution. Among the earliest settlers of Woodford County, Kentucky, he was widely known for his holdings in that section. (See land grants and warrants.) She also married a cousin James Rucker on Sept. 12, 1792 (later). 4. BERNARD, born May 25, 1778, died in 1832, married Julia Holloway (later). 5. William, born No. 15, 1780, died Jan. 23, 1854, married another 6. JOHN, born Sept. 22, 1782, married Elizabeth Burton (later). 8. JOSHUA, born May 23, 1786, died Sept. 18, 1859, married twice, 10. BENJAMIN ASBURY, born June 9, 1790, died Feb. 1856, married twice, first, Melinda Rucker, on Feb. 18, 1819. Melinda was a cousin also. Secondly, he married Eliza Waller on Nov. 29, 1832 (later). 11. LEWIS DAWSON, born Sept. 13, 1794, died July 1, 1867, married three times, firstly, Margaret Goddard, second, Amelia Branchamp, and lastly, Hannah Krouse (later). RACHEL RUCKER, (John, John, John, Peter), was born in Amherst County, Virginia, Oct. 18, 1772, and died March 4, 1805. She married her cousin John Rucker of Kentucky. The marriage took place soon after the migrating of her parents to Kentucky. Issue: 1. JAMES WILLIAM, born Oct. 13, 1793, married May 13, 1830, to Elizabeth Elrod Jones (later). 2. NELSON DAWSON, born 1795, died in 1813 of Cold Plague. He was unmarried. 3. SALLIE PLUNKETT, born 1798, died 1817 of consumption. She never married. 4. ISAAC, born 1802, married twice, first, Edna K.
