w of His late Majesty King William the Fourth, intituled An Act to regulate the Trade of the British Possessions abroad, herein-after designated as “The Pos- c. 59. sessions Act:" And whereas it is expedient to make certain Alterations and Amendments therein: Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, That, except as herein-after is provided, from and after the Fifth Day of July One thousand eight hundred and forty-three so far as relates to the British Possessions in North America, and from and after the Fifth Day of April One ment of Act. thousand eight hundred and forty-three so far as relates to the British Possessions in South America and the West Indies, and from and after the Fifth Day of July One thousand eight hundred and forty-three so far as relates to the Mauritius, this Act shall come into and be and continue in full Force and Operation for all the Purposes mentioned herein.
II. And whereas, under or by virtue of an Act passed in the Fourth Year of Recital of His late Majesty King George the Third, intituled An Act for granting certain Du- 4 G. 3. c. 15.
