The place called Wilhemina was named after Wilhelmina Robinson, only daughter of Porter Robinson who had the first post office in the place (circa 1910). I have a picture. When the railway came through NOT where Porter had expected, the post office leant on Porter's house was moved with 4 Percherons to what would become the townsite--Wilhelmina was too hard to spell, said the government, so the town was named Bideford, and then, Altario.
