III. And be it further enacted, That the company of, and hereby incorporate shall not be permitted to erect more where kept than three gates or turnpikes upon the said road, and

VI. And be it further enacted, That it shall be lawful for, and the commissioners of the land-office are hereby required to issue letters patent to Phineas Weed for two hundred acres of land in the military tract, in full for the services of himself or William Weed.

VII. IX. And be it further enacted, That it shall be lawful for, and the commissioners of the land-office are hereby directed to issue letters patent to David Hodges for two hundred acres of land in the military tract, in full for his services in the late revolutionary war.

X. And be it further enacted, That it shall and may be lawful for the commissioners of the land-office, and they are hereby required to issue letters patent to Samuel Brown for two hundred acres of land in the tract aforesaid, in full for his services in the late war.

XI. And be it further enacted, That it shall and may Van Tyne be lawful for the commissioners of the land-office, and they are hereby required to issue letters patent to Robert Van Tyne for two hundred acres of land in the tract aforesaid, in full for the services of the said Robert Van Tyne in the late war.

XII. And be it further enacted, That it shall and A. D. 1811. may be lawful for the commissioners of the land-office, To Francis Van Tyne. and they are hereby required to issue letters patent to the legal representatives of Francis Van Tyne for two hundred acres of land in the tract aforesaid, in full for the services of the said Francis Van Tyne in the war: Provided, That when the aforesaid grants are made to the soldier who performed the service directly, it shall be to him for and during his life only, and afterwards to his heirs in fee: Provided however, That this provision shall not extend to or effect the grant to Cornelius Ackerson, or Eli Lyon, or William Hollett.
