to build the court-house and gaol in said county; and A.D. 1811. it shall be the duty of the commissioners to lay before the supervisors a just and full statement of all the sums of money which they may have received from the treasurer of said county and elsewhere, to be applied to the building of said court-house and gaol, and also a statement of the sums which they shall have expended in building the same, including what they may stand indebted for building, materials, &c. and the number of days they shall have been severally employed as commissioners (as near as may be) together with the items to which the money has been applied, all which, if correct, the supervisors are hereby authorised and directed to allow, with such interest on monies advanced by the commissioners over and above the money by them received for that purpose, and likewise such compensation per day or otherwise for their services as commissioners as shall appear just and right on a view of their accounts.

II. And said supervisors shall issue their warrant to the collectors of the several towns of said county for the collection of the same, and payment thereof to the treasurer of the county, by the first day of February next; and it shall be the duty of the supervisors to give to said commissioners an order or warrant on the treasurer for the sum which shall be due them as aforesaid, and the duty of the treasurer to pay the same as soon as he shall receive the money from the collectors, and pay the remainder of the money thus raised and paid into the treasury on such other order or orders as the supervisors may draw upon him.

III. CHAP. CXVIII.

An ACT empowering the supervisors of Franklin coun-
ty to raise the further sum of five hundred dollars
for the purpose of building a court-house and gaol in
said county.
Passed April 3d, 1811.
E it enacted by the people of the state of New-
York, represented in Senate and Assembly, That
the supervisors of the county of Franklin be, and they
are hereby directed and empowered to raise the fur-
ther sum of five hundred dollars in two equal annual
instalments, to be levied and collected in the same
manner as the other necessary and contingent charges
are annually raised, levied and collected, together
with the additional sum of five cents on each dollar
for collecting the same, and one cent on cach dollar
for treasurer's fees, the said sum of five hundred dol-
lars to be applied towards building a court-house and
gaol in said county, in the same manner and by the
same commissioners appointed by the provisions of
an act empowering the supervisors of the county of
Franklin to raise money for the purpose of building a
court-house and gaol in said county.

CHAP. CXIX.

An ACT to amend the act entitled "An act to appoint commissioners to lay out a road from the town of Boonville to the town of Deerfield, in the county of Oneida," passed April 5th, 1810.

Passed April 3d, 1811. E it enacted by the people of the state of New-York, represented in Senate and Assembly, That it shall

and may be lawful for the commissioners of highways A. D. 1811. in the respective towns of Floyd and Steuben, to make such alterations in that part of the road laid out in pursuance of the said act, running through the said town of Floyd, as to the said commissioners of high ways of the said towns of Floyd and Steuben, or a ma. jority of them, shall be deemed convenient to the inhabitants of the said towns, and advantageous to the public.

CHAP. CXX.

An ACT to alter the road leading from the court-house in Onondaga to the village of Oswego.

Passed April 3d, 1811. E it enacted by the people of the state of NewYork, represented in Senate aud Assembly, That it shall and may be lawful for the commissioners of highways of the town of Onondaga, and they are hereby required to reduce the said road to the width of one chain, and to alter the same from the house of Joel Barber to the house of John Ellis, making the present causeway the middle of the road to the land of said Ellis, and thence on a straight line to the house now occupied by him, and that it shall and may be lawful for the commissioners of highways of the town of Camillus, and they are hereby required to alter and straighten said road between the houses of Isaac Earll and Jacob Phillips, in said town of Camillus, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

An ACT to amend the act entitled "An act to appoint
Commissioners to lay out roads in the counties of
Chenango and Oneida," passed March 27th, 1809.

Whitney, agreeably to the act hereby amended, be tween the house of Simeon Parsons and Martin Langdon, in the town of Verona, in the county of Oneida, and from thence by the best and most eligible route to or near the north meeting house in Westmoreland, and from thence by the best and most eligible route to or near the house of Elizur Moseley, in the town of Whitestown, as they shall think most convenient to the inhabitants of the said towns and advantageous to the public: Provided, The said commissioners shall not be at liberty to vary from the several points stated in said act, except that of Martin Langdon.

III. And be it further enacted, That the said com. IV. V. And be it further enacted, That if any part of said Damages road shall run through inclosed or improved lands, the thro' unimdamages may be agreed upon between the proprietor ands how and the commissioners, or they shall be appraised as appraised. directed in and by the fifteenth section of the act entitled "an act to regulate highways," and in either case the damages shall be paid in the manner prescribed by the act aforesaid, and the said road shall be opened and kept in repair according to the provisions of the said act.
