Strength', haste thee to help me. xxvii. 8, When thou saidst, Seek ye my face, my heart said unto thee', Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Ps. xxxiv. 6, This poor man cried', and the Lord heard him, and saved him' out of all his troubles'. Ps. lxiii. 1, O God', thou art my God`; early' will I seek thee`, my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land', where no water is: Ps. lxxiii. 25, Whom have I in heaven' but thee? and there is none upon earth' that I desire besides thee`. cxix. 169, 170, Let my cry come near before thee', O Lord' give me understanding' according to thy word. Let my supplication' come before thee: deliver me' according to thy word. Isa. lv. 6, Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him' while he is near. Jer. xxix. 12, 13, Then shall ye call upon me`, and ye shall go and pray unto me', and I will hearken unto you'. And ye shall seek me, and find me', when ye search for me with all your heart. Luke xi. 8-13, I say unto you`, Though he will not rise and give him because he is his friend', yet, because of his importunity, he will rise and give him as many as he needeth'. And I say unto you, Ask', and it shall be given you`; seek', and ye shall find`; knock', and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh', receiveth`; and he that seeketh', findeth'; and to him that knocketh', it shall be opened`. If a son ask bread of any of you that is a father', will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish', will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he

offer him a scorpion'? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit' to them that ask him`?

XIV. GOD REQUIRES US TO SANCTIFY THE

And God blessed the seventh day', and sanctified it`; because that in it he had rested from all his work' which God created' and made. Exod. xvi. 22-30, And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread', two omers' for one man': and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses'.
