CHAPTER 1.

An Act to amend "The Administration of Justice

Act."

ER MAJESTY by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

1. Section 22 of chapter 1 of the Revised Statutes of R.S.M.C. 1, Manitoba is hereby amended by striking out the words amended. "and singular the" where they occur in the fourth and fifth lines thereof and the words "mentioned in the three service of all last preceding sections of this Act" where they occur in process. the eighth and ninth lines thereof and by adding thereto the following sub-section. :

(2) The powers given to the Court or Judge, by this section, may also be exercised in reference to proceedings under the Imperial Act, known as "The Summary Procedure on Bills of Exchange Act, 1855.”

Section 23 of said chapter is hereby amended by Sec. 23 inserting therein after the word "same" in the fifth line Notices to be thereof the words "or upon a professional partner of such persons having "attorney, who is such partner at the time of service, and obtained "when the last renewal of such execution, attachment or "certificate of judgment appears to have been made by 'attorney other than the one who originally issued the attorney or same, then such notice may be served upon the attorney attorney last or such partner who appears to have made or issued such "last renewal.".
