IV. And be it further enacted, That over and befides the faid Company to pay feveral Sums of Ninety thoufand Pounds, and Fifty five thousand for Charges of four hundred and ten Pounds, and Forty two thousand Pounds and Fifty five thousand four hundred and ten Pounds hereinbefore mentioned, the faid United Company fhall pay into the Hands of the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England, by Half-yearly Payments, fuch Sum and Sums of Money as purfuant to an Act of Parliament made and paffed in the Forty eighth Year of the Reign 48 G. 3. c. 4. of His prefent Majefty, intituled An Act to authorize the advancing for the Public Service, upon certain Conditions, a Proportion of the Balance remaining in the Bank of England, for Payment of Unclaimed Dividends, Annuities and Lottery Prizes, and for regulating the Allowances to be paid for the Management of the National Debt, fhall be payable in refpect of the Charges of Management of the faid Two feveral Sums of Three millions Reduced Three Pounds per Centum Annuities, and One million four hundred thousand Pounds Confolidated Three Pounds per Centum Annuities, or fo much thereof refpectively as from time to time fhall remain unredeemed.

V. And be it further enacted, That the faid feveral Sums payable Application of for Intereft, Sinking Fund and Charges of Management on the faid Sums directed. VII. Provided always, and be it further enacted, That it fhall and may be lawful to and for the faid United Company, if they fhall fee fit, at any time and from time to time, to pay into the Hands of the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England any further Sum or Sums of Money beyond the faid Two feveral annual Sums of Fifty five thousand four hundred and ten Pounds and Fifty five thousand four hundred and ten Pounds, on account of the Sinking Fund, for the Redemption of the faid Two Capital Sums of Three millions Reduced Three Pounds per Centum Annuities and One mil

VIII. And be it further enacted, That the faid Sums of Ninety thoufand Pounds and Forty two thousand Pounds hereinbefore provided to be paid by the faid United Company to the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England, fhall be applied by them in Payment of the faid Annuities, in refpect of the faid Principal Sums of Three millions and One million four hundred thousand Pounds, as the fame fhall become due, and that the said Two several Sums of Fifty five thousand four hundred and ten Pounds, and Fifty five thou fand four hundred and ten Pounds, and fuch other Sum and Sums of Money as fhall from time to time be paid to the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England, or their Cafhier, on account of the Sinking Fund, for the Redemption of the faid feveral Capital Sums of Three millions Reduced Three Pounds per Centum Annuities and One million four hundred thousand Pounds Confolidated Three Pounds per Centum Annuities, fhall be by the said Governor and Company of the Bank of England placed to the Account of the Commiffioners for the Reduction of the National Debt, inftead of the Sums which would have been iffued and placed to the Account of the said Commiffioners in respect of the faid Capital Stock of Three millions Reduced Annuities, and One million four hundred thousand Pounds Confolidated Annuities, under the Act paffed in the Thirty fecond Year of His present Majesty's Reign, intituled An A& to render more effectual an Aa made in the Twenty fixth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, intituled An Ad for vefling certain Sums in Commiffioners at the End of every Quarter of a Year, to be by them applied to the Reduction of the National Debt, and to direct the Application of an additional Sum to the Reduction of the faid Debt, in cafe of future Loans; and the faid Commiffioners fhall from time to time apply the fame, and alfo the Dividends payable on any Stock redeemed or purchafed therewith, in the Purchase of Capital Stock of the Public Annuities of Great Britain bearing an Intereft of Three Pounds per Centum, in fuch manner as is directed by any Act or Acts now in force with refpect to any other Sums iffued to the faid Commiffioners for the Reduction of the National Debt; and all and every the Powers and Authorities, Regulations and Provifions contained in any fuch Act or Acts refpecting the Application of Monies iffued or placed to the Account of the faid Commiffioners, fhall be excercifed and applied and be in full force with refpect to the Monies iffued or placed to the Account of the faid Commiffioners by virtue of this Act, in fo far as the fame are applicable, and except where the fame are herein exprefsly varied, as fully as if the fame were particularly re-enacted herein.

IX. And be it further enacted, That a feparate Account shall be kept of the Amount of the Capital Stock of the Public Annuities of Great Britain bearing an Intereft of Three Pounds per Centum, purchafed or redeemed by the Operations of the faid Two feveral Sums of Fifty five thousand four hundred and ten Pounds and Fifty five thousand four hundred and ten Pounds, and fuch other Sum or Sums of Money as from time to time may be paid into the Hands of the faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England, or their Cafhier, on account of the Sinking Fund, for the Redemption of the faid Two feveral Capital Sums of Three millions Reduced Three Pounds per Centum Annuities and One million four hundred thousand Pounds

And be it further enacted, That in case the faid United Com- In cafe of Failure pany or their Succeffors fhall make Failure in any of the Payments of Payment by hereby required and appointed to be made into the Hands of the Company, how faid Governor and Company of the Bank of England, on or before the refpective Days or times hereinbefore limited, that then, and from time to time as often as such case fhall fo happen, the Money whereof fuch Failure in Payment shall be made, fhall and may be recovered to His Majefty's Ufe by Action of Debt or upon the Cafe, Bill, Suit or Information, in any of His Majesty's Courts of Record at Westminster, wherein no Effoign, Protection, Privilege or Wager of Law shall be allowed, or any more than One Imparlance; in which Action, Bill, Suit or Information, it shall be lawful to declare that the faid United Company or their Succeffors are indebted to His Majefty in the Monies in which they have made Default in Payment, according to the Form of the Statute, and have not paid the fame, which shall be fufficient; and in or upon fuch Action, Bill, Suit or Information, there fhall be further recovered to His Majefty's Ufe, against the faid United Company or their Succeffors, Damages after the Rate of Fifteen Pounds per Centum per Annum, for the respective Monies fo unpaid contrary to this Act, with full Cofts of Suit; and the faid United Company and their Succeffors, and all their Stock and Funds, and all other their Eftates and Property whatsoever and wherefoever shall be and are hereby made fubject and liable to the Payment of fuch Monies, Damages and Cofts.

XII. And be it further enacted, That the Property Tax in refpect of the Sums hereinbefore directed or authorized to be paid into the Bank of England by the faid United Company, fhall not be paid or borne by the faid United Company, and the fame Sums of Money fhall be paid by the faid United Company without any Deduction or Abatement whatsoever in refpect of the Property Tax or otherwife how foever; but fuch Property Tax fhall be deducted from the Dividends payable in refpect of fuch Sums of Money, in fuch manner as the Property Tax in refpect of any other Part of the Reduced Three Pounds per Centum Bank Annuities and Confolidated Three Pounds per Centum Bank Aunuities is or ought to be deducted and paid.

An Act to enable the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland to regulate
the Price of Coals to be bought for the Benefit of the Poor
of the City of Dublin.
[18th July 1812.]
HEREAS by an A&t paffed in the Parliament of Ireland, in
the First Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, intituled An
• A&t to prevent the exceffive Price of Coals in the City of Dublin, it
was, amongst other things, enacted, that One or more Yard or Yards
fhould be taken at the Expence of the Public, for the Purpose of
laying in a fufficient Quantity of Coals for fupplying the Journey.
men, Tradefmen and Manufacturers, and the Poor of the City of
Dublin, with Coals, in the manner and fubject to the Regulations
and Provifions thereinafter mentioned; and that the faid Coals
fhould be bought in at the public Expence, when Coals fhould be
under Sixteen Shillings the Ton: And whereas the Price of Coals
in the City of Dublin has not for feveral Years last past been so
low as Sixteen Shillings by the Ton;' Be it therefore enacted by
the King's Moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and
Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this
prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame,
That, from and after the paffing of this Act, it fhall and may be lawful
for the Director or Superintendent of fuch Coal Yard from time to
time, and at all times, to buy Coals for the Supply of every or any fuch
Coal Yards, in manner in the faid A&t mentioned, at any Price or Prices
that shall be approved of by the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Go
vernor or Governors of Ireland for the time being; fuch Approbation
to be fignified in Writing to fuch Director or Superintendent, pre
vious to every fuch Purchafe, by the Chief Secretary, or in his Ab
fence by the Under Secretary for the Civil Department, and that fuch
Coals fhall and may be afterwards fold in manner and under and fub、
ject to the Regulations in the faid A&t mentioned.

the Ufe of fuch Coal Yards, at Prices exceeding the Rate fixed by ‹ Law as aforefaid, and where fuch Purchases were fairly made it is reasonable that the Parties concerned fhould not fuffer thereby ;' Be it therefore enacted, That whenever the Commiffioners of Impreft Accounts in Ireland fhall be of Opinion that any fuch Purchase hath been fairly and bona fide made for the public Benefit, it fhall and may be lawful to and for the faid Commiffioners, and they are hereby required to allow the fame in Account, and to admit the Price paid for fuch Coals as juft and fair Discharges for and on Behalf of the Director or Superintendent of fuch Coal Yards, or of any other Perfon or Perfons who so paid the fame refpectively.
