This book was interesting, but the guy trusts in the magical power of fermentation to make lots of poisonous things safe and edible. He also doesn't bother to mention that many of his herbal ingredients are poisonous under normal circumstances. Not just hallucinogenic, not damaging to the liver, but really actually poisonous. He doesn't cite credible sources and he doesn't go into the science of much of anything at all. If I were at a party and this guy offered me a beverage, I would refuse out of hand. If somebody had this book on the table next to their homebrew I wouldn't be willing to drink that either.
