SECTION 23. Kormony, Deihl, a soldier of the revolution, to John Kormony, of Lebanon county, John Wachter, of Berks county, John Shultz, of Lebanon county, George King, of Franklin county, and Joseph Rehr, of Berks county, revolutionary soldiers, a gratuity of forty dollars each, as full compensation for their respective claims against the Commonwealth; the foregoing gratuities and pensions to be paid in conformity to existing laws.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That Charles Roberts of the city of Philadelphia, the guardian of his two minor children, Caleb C. and Henrietta Roberts, be and he is hereby authoriz. d and empowered to sell and convey in fee simple, or otherwise, or to let on ground rent, all or any part of the estate, right, title or interest of the said minors in and to a certain lot or piece of ground, situated on the north side of Callowhill street and west side of Eleventh

street, in the district of Spring Garden, being a part of the square of ground between Callowhill and James streets and Eleventh and Twelfth streets : Provided however, That before the said sale or sales or the said letting on ground rent shall be valid, and the conveyances of the said estates and interests made, the same shall be approved by the Orphan's Court of the city and county of Philadelphia, and the said guardian shall give such security for the application of the proceeds thereof, as the said court shall and may direct.

For the vacation of a part of Cherry alley, in the borough of Washington, in the county of Washington.

WHEREAS, the board of trustees of Washington college, in the borough of Washington, have recently purchased several lots with a view of erecting a new college edifice, which lots lie to the north of the present college campus, and are separated therefrom by an alley called Cherry Alley: And whereas, it has been represented that it would be conducive to the interests of said institution to have said lots attached to the present campus, so that the whole college ground may be embraced in one enclosure: Therefore,

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That so much of the alley called Cherry alley, in the general plan of the town of Washington, in the county of Wash- Cherry alley, ington, as runs from College street westward, two hundred and in Washing forty feet, or as far as the lots on both sides of said alley may ton, vacated. hereafter be owned by the board of trustees of Washington college, be and the same is hereby declared to be vacated, and shall no longer be deemed and allowed to be a public way.
