WHEREAS, it appears that by an act of the General Assembly of this Commonwealth, passed the fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-four, entitled "An act for the Preamble. relief of sundry soldiers and widows of soldiers of the revolu. tionary war,” the State Treasurer was thereby authorized and required to pay to Jacob Schucker, of the county of Berks, forty dollars, immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars during life: And whereas, it appears that the name of the applicant to whom the above gratuity and annuity were granted is John Schucker, who, by such error, was deprived of the benefit of said act: Therefore, Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre. sentatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized and required to pay to the said John Schucker, of Berks county, a Jno.Schuekor soldier, the sum of eighty dollars, the amount of the gratuity and annuity so granted up to the first day of March, one thou. sand eight hundred and thirty-five, and an annuity of forty dollars during life, payable half yearly, to commence on the said first day of March, to be paid in conformity to the existing laws of this Commonwealth.
