Preamble. An Act To vest certain real estate in the Seventh-day Baptist Monastical society of Snowhill. WHEREAS, by deed, dated twenty-second September, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-three, Andrew Snowberger conveyed to Abraham Ely, John Snowberger, John Mann, Charles Hough and Abraham Burger, and their successors for ever, in trust, to and for the use of the monastical branch of the society then living at Snowhill, and their successors for ever, two pieces of land, one containing one hundred and six acres, more or less, and the other containing two acres and ninety-six perches, in Washington township, Franklin county, Pennsylvania: And whereas, John Snowberger, by deed, dated twentyfifth August, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-nine, conveyed to John Mann, Charles Hoch, Samuel Snowberger and Daniel Mann, and their successors forever, as trustees of the Seventh-day Baptist society at Snowhill aforesaid, two other pieces of land, in the township aforesaid, one containing eighteen acres and sixty-eight and a half perches, and the other one acre and one hundred and four perches: And whereas, Frederick Hess and wife, by deed dated the third of August, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-two, conveyed to John Snowberger, John Mann, Charles Hoch, Samuel Snowberger and David Snowberger, and their successors for ever, as trustees of the same society, twenty-one acres and one hundred and four perches of land, in the same township: And whereas, Barbara Snowberger, by deed dated the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three, conveyed to John Snowberger, John Mann, Charles Hoch, Samuel Snowberger and David Snowberger, and their successors for ever, in trust for the same society, ninety-eight perches of land, in the same township: And whereas, John Snowberger, by deed dated the same day last mentioned, conveyed to John Mann, Charles Hoch, Samuel Snowberger and David Snowberger, and their successors for ever, trustees of the said society, twenty-five acres and ninety-one perches of land, in the same township: And whereas, the said society, since the execution of said several deeds, viz on the seventeenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-four, has been incorporated according to law, by the name and style of "The Seventh-day Baptist Monastical society of Snowhill," and have desired that the several parcels of land may be vested and confirmed in the society, by its corporate name, according to the true meaning and intentiou of said deeds: Therefore, The deeds of SECTION 1. An Act To authorize a temporary loan for the use of the Commonwealth. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in Generał Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the. same, That the Governor be and he is hereby authorized to negotiate a temporary loan, on the credit of the Commonwealth, not to exceed two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, at an interest not more than five per centum per annum, with any bank or banks, corporation, individual or individuals, as in his opinion may be most advantageous; and the sum or sums of money so borrowed shall be vested in the commissioners of the internal improvement fund, and applied to discharge the interest on canal loans falling due on the first of February next, and the money so borrowed shall be repaid to the lender or lenders within twelve months from the date of this act out of any moneys in the Treasury applicable to the payment of interest. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That so much of the thirtieth section of the act entitled, An act to incorporate the Chambersburg Insurance company, &c., passed the third day of April, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-three, as limits insurances against fire by the Chambersburg Insurance company to property in the county of Franklin, be and the same is hereby repealed; and that all policies to be made by said company, shall be valid and effectual, wherever the property insured be situated.
