porters as in his judgment may be to secure good and serviceable typewriters,

It is recommended that the compensation of the officers and employees named shall be the same as at the Regular Session of this Legislature, unless otherwise expressly provided, except that no employees compensation shall be more than $7.50 per day.

The Lieutenant Governor is authorized and directed to use any of the employees needed for any other work in the Senate where, in his judgment, their services may be required.

The Senators are hereby given such time as they desire to name their personal appointments, whose names shall be given to the Secretary of the Senate when the appointments are made.

It is also recommended that 2500 copies of the daily Senate Journal be printed to be prorated among the members of the Senate and the Lieutenant Governor for direction of their distribution, except that 300 copies shall be furnished the members of the House; that the Sergeant-at-Arms be authorized to rent such number of typewriters as may be necessary for the use of the employees of the Senate, the rental charges not to exceed $4.00 per month for each machine; that the Lieutenant Governor and each Senator be allowed the stationery and postage needed by them respectively, and also any expenses incurred by them in the transmitting and receiving of telephone messages and telegraph messages necessary in the discharge of their official duties; and that each Senator and the Lieutenant Governor be permitted to subscribe for five daily papers, all such incidental expenses to be paid out of the contingent expense fund.

THEREFORE, Be it resolved that the Sergeant-at-Arms be and is hereby ordered to negotiate with typewriter dealers at any point in the State to the end that good and serviceable typewriters be obtained for use of the secretaries of the Senators.
