This bulletin is one of a series prepared to record the history of the Boulder Canyon project, the results of technical studies and experimental investigations, and the more unusual features of design and construction. By joint resolution approved by the President April 30, 1947, the United States Congress changed the name of the dam theretofore known as Boulder Dam to Hoover Dam.
