Chaut.

Who shall ascend into the hill-of the | LORD or who shall stand | in his | ho-ly | place.

He that hath clean hands, and a-pure | heart: who hath not lifted up his soul unto | vanity,-nor | sworn de- | -ceitfully.

He shall receive the blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

:

This is the generation of | them that | seek him that | seek thy | face, O | Jacob.

:

One thing have I desired | of the | LORD: that will | I seek | after.

That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days-of my life: to behold the beauty of the LORD, and | to in-quire | in his temple.

Sing unto the LORD, O ye | saints of | his : and give thanks at the re- |-mem-brance of his holiness.

[ocr errors]

Who shall not fear thee, O LORD, and glori- | -fy thy | name: for | thou | onlyart | holy.

For the LORD is our de- |-fence: and the Holy One of Is-rael | is our | King.

Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be un-to | him: that sitteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb for | everand ever-A--men.

Let us Pray.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed Matthew vi. 9-13 be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.

Congregation.

Doxology.

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever.

GOD'S FAITHFULNESS.

God's Faithfulness Proclaimed.

Minister.

GOD is not a man, that he should lie;

Numbers

Neither the son of man, that he should xxiii. 19. repent:

Hath he said-and shall he not do it?
Or hath he spoken-and shall he not make
it good?

He hath given meat unto them that fear
him:

He will ever be mindful of his covenant. He hath showed his people the power of his works,

That he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

The works of his hands are verity and judgment;

All his commandments are sure.

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.

Thus saith the LORD,

My covenant will I not break,

Nor alter the thing that is gone out of

my lips.

Joshua

Ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the xxiii. 14. good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof. There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

Congregation.

For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting;

And his truth endureth to all generations.

God's Faithfulness Displayed in the Promise of a Redeemer, and its Fulfilment.

Thus saith the LORD,

Isaiah

The Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One; xlix. 7.
To him whom man despiseth, to him whom

the nation abhorreth,

To a servant of rulers,

Kings shall see and arise,

Princes also shall worship,

Because of the Lord that is faithful,

And the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel;

For he hath visited and redeemed his people,

And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us

In the house of his servant David;

As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets,

Which have been since the world began.

God's Faithfulness seen in His Word.

Congregation.

For we have not followed cunningly de- 2 Peter vised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Congregation.

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.
