TWENTY-SECOND SESSION OF THE LEGISLATURE.

CHAP. CXCVI.-An Act to amend section one hundred and fiftyseven of the Political Code, relative to legal distances in this State.

[Approved March 14, 1878.]

The People of the State of California, represented in Senate and
Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Section one hundred and fifty-seven of the
Political Code is amended to read as follows:

157. From the county seat of Contra Costa County to Sac-Legal, disramento, eighty-nine miles; to Napa, twenty-seven milestones, Conto Stockton, one hundred and twenty-one miles; to San

Quentin, forty-one miles.

SEC. 2. This Act shall be in force from and after its passage.

CHAP. CCCXCV.-An Act to amend section one hundred and
eighty-one of the Political Code, in relation to mileage.
[Approved March 27, 1878.]

The People of the State of California, represented in Senate and
Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Section one hundred and eighty-one of the
Political Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
