"After hearing the evidence of the jockeys riding in the above race, we are of opinion that Hopvine is entitled to the stake; at the same time disqualify Helice for second place, her jockey acknowledging having gone

the wrong side of a post, and then pulling her up. We entirely acquit Potter, the rider of Helice, from any intention to do wrong.
