PHILLIPS' SYRUP OF

Hypophosphites Compound

Lime, Soda, Potash, Manganese, Iron,
Quinine and Strychnine

[graphic]
[blocks in formation]

Attention was first directed to the use of Hypophosphites in the treatment of Pythisis by Dr. Churchill, of Paris. On theoretical grounds the combination of phosphorus with calcium, sodium, iron and other bases have been supposed to possess a power of stimulating and regenerating the nervous system and those tissues which contain lime, etc.

The Hypophosphites have in a manner displaced the phosphates, on account of the fact the phosphorus is more loosely combined in the former, and is therefore more readily assimilated. Since the introduction of Hypophosphites to the medical profession they have steadily gained favor. We offer this preparation to physicians as a most excellent tonic, especially indicated in pulmonary weakness, incipient consumption, scrofulous taint, bronchitis, asthma, lagrippe and general debility.

Phillips' Syrup of Hypophosphites Compound

is the result of many carefully conducted experiments, and no pains have been spared to produce an effectual as well as elegant preparation. The Hypophosphites is chemically pure, and the relative proportions contained in the syrup are adjusted in the most desirable manner. The precipitation which so frequently occurs in similar combination has been thoroughly overcome. The manufacture of our syrup is conducted with skill and care, and we are confident that a trial will convince practitioners of its excellent qualities.
