The R. W. Grand Lodge convened this day, at Odd Fellows' Hall, city of Baltimore, being the regular Annual Communication, when the following were present:

The Grand Secretary presented the certificates of the Representatives of the several Grand Lodges and Encampments, and it appearing that a constitutional quorum was present, the D. Grand Sire was directed to examine the Representatives.

The D. Grand Sire reported that the Representatives present were duly qualified; and then, by order of the Grand Sire, proclaimed the Grand Lodge duly opened for the transaction of business.

Prayer by the Grand Chaplain.

The Grand Sire announced the appointment of D. G. Sire Kneass, P. G. Sire Glazier, and G. Treasurer Warner, a committee on credentials. The Grand Secretary presented a protest from a number of the members of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, against the election of the Representatives of that state, which, on motion, was referred to the committee on credentials.

Sire Kneass, from the committee on credentials, to whom was referred the protest from a number of the members of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, asked leave to be discharged from the further consideration of this subject, when, on motion, the committee was discharged, and the protest referred to the Committee on Returns.

Rep. Marley, of Maryland, presented an invitation from the Grand Lodge of Maryland, to the Grand Lodge of the United States, to unite with that body, in the ceremonies of dedication to take place this day in the city

of Baltimore, which being read, on motion of Rep. Salomon, of Alabama, the invitation was accepted.

P. G. Sire Glazier moved that the Grand Lodge proceed to the installation of Grand Officers at three o'clock, P. M. to-morrow, during the pendency of which,

On motion, the Grand Lodge adjourned until to-morrow morning, at nine o'clock.

TUESDAY, September 19th, 9 o'clock, A. M.

The Grand Lodge assembled pursuant to adjournment: Present, the Officers and a due representation.

Prayer by the Grand Chaplain.

The journal of proceedings of the last Annual Session was being read, when, on motion of Rep. Moore, of District of Columbia, the further reading of the same was dispensed with.

The journal of proceedings of the session of yesterday was read and approved.

Rep. Hurlbut, of South Carolina, submitted the following, which was decided in the negative.

Resolved, That the journal of this Grand Lodge be printed from day to day, and laid upon the tables of the members.

Rep. Kneass, of Pennsylvania, moved that the Grand Lodge proceed at twelve o'clock this day to the installation of Grand Officers elect, which the Chair declared out of order, unless the Grand Lodge would first suspend the order of business.

Whereupon, Rep. Kneass, of Pennsylvania, moved to suspend the order of business to enable him to offer a resolution to proceed to the installation of Grand Officers, which was decided in the negative.

The Grand Sire announced the appointment of the following Standing Committees.

On the State of the Order-Rep's Moore, of District of Columbia; Guild, of Massachusetts; and Marley, of Maryland.

On Petitions-Rep's Hinman, of Connecticut; Sherlock, of Ohio; and Vn Sickell, of New Jersey.

On Finance-Rep's Treadwell, of New York; Salomon, of Alabama; and Marshall, of Kentucky.

On Returns-Rep's Hillyer, of New Jersey; Webb, of Virginia; and Seymour, of South Carolina.

On Correspondence.-Rep's Kneass, of Pennsylvania; Shaffner, of Kentucky; and Stewart, of Missouri.

On Official Magazine-Rep's Hurlbut, of South Carolina; Moore, of! District of Columbia; and Wilson, of New York.

On motion of Rep. Neilson, of Maryland, the Rule of Order requiring the Grand Sire and Grand Corresponding Secretary to report, was suspended.

Rep. Skinner, of Pennsylvania, moved that a Standing Committee on! Appeals be appointed, which motion prevailed.
