PUBLIC GENERAL ACTS.

N A&t to repeal an A&t made in the laft Seffion of Parliament, intituled An A& to continue an Ad to empower His Majefty to fecure and detain fuch Perfons as His Majefty fhall fufpect are confpiring against His Perfon and Government. Page 1 2. An Act to fufpend, until the End of the prefent Seffion of Parliament, the Operation of an A&t made in the last Seffion of Parliament, to provide for the more deliberate Investigation of Prefentments to be made by Grand Juries for Roads and Public Works in Ireland, and for accounting for Money raised by fuch Prefentments.

3. An Act for continuing to His Majefty certain Duties on Malt,
Sugar, Tobacco and Snuff, in Great Britain; and on Penfions,
Offices and Perfonal Eftates, in England; for the Service of the
Year One thousand eight hundred and eighteen.

4. An A&t for raifing the Sum of Thirty Millions, by Exchequer Bills, for the Service of the Year One thousand eight hundred and eighteen.

An Act to indemnify fuch Perfons in the United Kingdom as have omitted to qualify themfelves for Offices and Employments, and for extending the time limited for those Purposes refpectively, until the Twenty fifth Day of March One thousand eight hundred and nineteen; and to permit fuch Perfons in Great Britain as have omitted to make and file Affidavits of the Execution of Indentures of Clerks to Attornies and Solicitors, to make and file the fame on or before the First Day of Hilary Term One thousand eight hundred and nineteen, and to allow Perfons to make and file fuch Affidavits, although the Perfons whom they ferved shall have neglected to take out their Annual Certificates. Ibid. 6. An Act for indemnifying Perfons who, fince the Twenty fixth Day of January One thousand eight hundred and feventeen, have acted in apprehending, imprisoning or detaining in Custody Per

7. An A& to indemnify all Persons whe have been concerned in advifing, iffuing or carrying into Execution any Order or Orders for permitting the Importation and Exportation of certain Goods and Commodities in Foreign Bottoms into and out of certain of His Majefty's West India Inlands.

An Act to authorize the Governors of the Hofpital of King Charles the Second for ancient and maimed Officers and Soldiers of the Army of Ireland, (usually called the Royal Hofpital at Kilmainham,) to fufpend or take away the Penfious of fuch Penfioners of the said Hofpital as fhall be guilty of any Fraud in respect of Prize Money or Penfions, or of any other grofs Misconduct.

An Act to further continue, until the Fifth Day of July One thousand eight hundred and eighteen, Two Acts of the Fifty fourth Year of His prefent Majefty, for repealing the Duties of Cuftoms on Madder imported into Great Britain, and for granting other Duties in lieu thereof. An A&t to rectify a Mistake in an Act, paffed in the Fifty fifth Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, for punishing Mutiny and Desertion, and to indemnify certain Perfons in relation thereto.

12. An Act for the regulating of His Majefty's Royal Marine Forces while on Shore.

14. An A&t to amend an A&t of the last Session of Parliament, for preventing the further Circulation of Dollars and Tokens issued by the Governor and Company of the Bank of England.

15. An A& to amend an A&t made in the Twenty fixth Year of His prefent Majefty, for the Encouragement of the Fisheries carried on in the Greenland Seas and Davis's Streights, fo far as relates to the Oaths thereby required to be taken.

16. An A&t to continue until the Fifth Day of April One thousand eight hundred and nineteen, and amend an A&t of the Fifty fixth Year of His prefent Majefty, for reducing the Duties payable on Horfes used for the Purposes therein mentioned.

17. An A&t for charging certain Duties on Four wheeled Carriages conftructed and drawn in the manner therein described. 18. An A& to charge an additional Duty on Corks ready made, 28 imported into Ireland. 19. An Act to allow for Three Years, and until Six Weeks after the Commencement of the then next Seffion of Parliament, the Importation into Ports fpecially appointed by His Majefty, within the Provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, of the Articles therein enumerated, and the Re-exportation thereof from fuch

20. An A&t for more effectually discovering the Longitude at Sea, and encouraging Attempts to find a Northern Pallage between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and to approach the Northern Pole.

An A&t to revive and continue, until the Fifth Day of July One thoufand eight hundred and nineteen, feveral Laws relating to the Duties on Glafs made in Great Britain; and to prohibit the making of Smalts within a certain Distance of any other Glass House, or by the Maker of any other Kind of Glass.

22. An Act for fixing the Rates of Subfiftence to be paid to Innkeepers and others on quartering Soldiers. 39

23. An A&t for raifing the Sum of Three Millions, by the Transfer of certain Three Pounds per Centum Annuities into other Annuities, at the Rate of Three Pounds Ten Shillings per Centum ; and for granting Annuities to discharge certain Exchequer Bills.

24. An Act for enabling His Majesty to make further Provifion for His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge, and to fettle an Annuity on the Princess of Helle, in cafe fhe fhall survive His faid Royal Highness.

55 25. An Act for enabling His Majefty to fettle an Annuity on Her Royal Highness the Duchefs of Cumberland, in cafe of her furviving His Royal Highness the Duke of Cumberland.

56 26. An A&t to continue, until the Fifth Day of July One thousand eight hundred and nineteen, Two Acts made in the Fifty fourth and Fifty fixth Years of His prefent Majesty's Reign, for regulating the Trade in Spirits between Great Britain and Ireland reciprocally, and to amend the fame.

58 27. An A&t to permit the Importation of certain Articles into His Majefty's Colonies or Plantations in the West Indies, or on the Continent of South America; and alfo certain Articles into certain Ports in the West Indies.

28. An Act to repeal an A&t made in the Fifty fixth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, for eftablishing the Ufe of an Hydroincter called Sikes's Hydrometer, in afcertaining the Strength of Spirits, inftead of Clarke's Hydrometer; and for making other Provifions in lieu thereof.

33. An Act to alter the Allowance for broken Plate Glafs, and to exempt Manufacturers of certain Glass Wares from Penalties for not being licensed.

An Act to repeal the feveral Bounties on the Exportation of refined Sugar from any Part of the United Kingdom, and to allow other Bounties in lieu thereof, until the Fifth Day of July One thousand eight hundred and twenty, and for reducing the Size of the Packages in which refined Sugar may be exported. 35. An Act to provide for the maintaining of the Royal Canal from the River Liffey to the River Shannon in Ireland.
