EVERY SATURDAY. PRICE THREEPENCE. The School Board Chronicle is the accepted organ of the School Boards throughout England and Wales, and the Weekly Chronicle of the proceedings of the School Attendance Committees under Lord Sandon's Act. The School Board Chronicle contains, every week, a full report of the proceedings of the London School Board, and of the School Boards and School Attendance Committees throughout the country, and discusses every question connected with the working of the Elementary Education Acts. The School Board Chronicle occupies the position of a “Hansard to the great educational parliament of the United Kingdom,” and to Members of School Boards, Clerks of School Boards, School Managers and Teachers, Members and Clerks of School Attendance Committees, School Attendance Officers, Members and Clerks of Boards of Guardians, Mayors, Town Clerks, Members of Parliament, and others who are interested in the great question of National Elementary Education, it affords the fullest and most complete information. The number of testimoniei constantly received as to the value and usefulness of the paper and the high estimation in which it is held, proves that it is regarded as a necessity by all who hold important positions under the operation of the Elementary Education Acts, and who wish to be thoroughly well up in the details of its administration. In receiving a deputation on Dame and Adventure Schools, Lord Sandon said he "had from week to week followed the discussions of the various School Boards on the subject by means of the advantages which the School Board Chronicle afforded.” The School Board Chronicle has been officially recognised by the Education Department and the Local Government Board in a correspondence between that authority and a School Board, and School Board Offices may be supplied with the paper and the cost charged in the accounts.
