Mr. SNYDER. General Boschen, as a preface to our inquiry into the items embraced by the War Department civil functions appropriation bill, we have asked your presence here as the budget officer of the War Department to present some financial tables, which the Department was asked to prepare early in the year by the late Chairman Buchanan.

APPROPRIATIONS AVAILABLE FOR OBLIGATIONS, AMOUNTS EXPENDED,

UNEXPENDED, AND UNOBLIGATED BALANCES, FISCAL YEARS 1936 AND 1937

The first statement called for was one which would indicate by appropriations the amounts available for obligation, the amounts expended, and the unexpended balances for the fiscal years 1936 and 1937. Will you please insert that statement, General?
