SIR-I have the honor to transmit herewith the Annual Report of the Finance Department in relation to the finances of the Corporation for the year 1889:

OPERATIONS AND CONDITION OF THE CITY TREASURY.

On pages 45 to 59 will be found a General Statement of the Operations and Condition of the City Treasury, giving in detail the various sources of revenue and the amount derived from each source, together with the expenditures under each appropriation and account under the heads of I. The City Treasury ;

II. The Sinking Funds:

I. For the Redemption of the City Debt;

II. For the Payment of Interest on the City Debt;

of which the following is a
