APPLETONS' JOURNAL is published weekly, and consists of thirty-two quarto pages, each number attractively illustrated. Its contents consist of serial Novels and short Stories, Essays upon Literary and Social Topics, Sketches of Travel and Adventure, and papers upon all the various subjects that pertain to the pursuits and recreations of the people, whether of town or country.
