AN ACT further to continue for a limited time, two Acts therein men. tioned, for the regulation of the Lumber Trade.

Preamble.

Continuance of

61, Geo. III. Cap. 14.

WE

HEREAS an A&t was paffed in the forty-eighth year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, "An A&t for the better regulation of the Lumber Trade," which, A&t was continued and amended by an Act made and paffed in the fifty-first year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, "An Act to continue for a limited time and "amend an Act paffed in the forty-eighth year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, Acts 48 Cap. 27 and An Att for the better regulation of the Lumber Trade;" which faid Acts were continued by another Act, paffed in the fifty-third year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, “An Act to continue for a limited time, two Acts therein mentioned, for "the better regulation of the Lumber Trade," and by another fubfequent Act, paffed in the fifty fifth year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, " An Act to continue "for a limited time, two Acts therein mentioned, for the better regulation of the "Lumber Trade;" which two first mentioned Acts, will continue in force until the first day of May next, and no longer: And whereas it is expedient further to conti nue both the faid firft mentioned A&ts: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the advice and confent of the Legislative Council and Allembly of the Province of Lower-Canada, conftituted and affembled by virtue of and under the authority of an A&t paffed in the Parliament of Great-Britain, intituled, "An Act to repeal certain parts of an A& paffed in the fourteenth year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, "An A&t for making more effectual provifion for the Go"vernment of the Province of Quebec in North-America ;" and to make further "provifion for the Government of the faid Province ;" and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the fame,that the herein before recited A&t,paffed in the forty-eighth year of His Majefty's Reign, and the Act alfo herein-before recited, paffed in the fifty firft year of His Majefty's Reign, and all matters and things therein contained, fhall continue to be in force until the first day of May, one thoufand eight hundred and nineteen, and no longer.

qu'un acte a été paffé dans la quarante huitième année du Règne de Sa Ma-- Préambula jesté, intitulé, “Acte qui établit des Règlemens plus efficaces pour le Commerce des Bois," lequel acte a été continué et amendé par un acte fait et paffé dans la cinquante unième année du Règne de Sa Majesté, intitulé, “Acte qui con"tinue pour un tems limité et qui amende un acte paffé dans la quarante huitième "annéeda Règne de Sa Majesté, intitulé, “ A&te qui établit des Règlemens plus efficaces pour le Commerce des Bois ;" Lesquels dits actes ont été continués par un autre acte paffé dans la cinquante troifième année du Règne de Sa Majefté, intitulé, "Acte qui continue pour un tems limité deux actes y mentionnés qui établiffent "des règlemens plus efficaces pour le Commerce des Bois," et par un autre acte fubféquent paffé dans la cinquante cinquième année du Règne de Sa Majefté, intitalé," Acte qui continue pour un tems limité deux actes y mentionnés qui éta"bliffent des règlemens plus efficaces pour le commerce des Bois," lesquels deux actes mentionnés en premier lieu continueront à être en force jufqu'au premier jour de Mai prochain et pas plus longtems; Et vû qu'il eft expédient de continuer encore les deux premiers actes ci-deffus mentionnés : Qu'il foit donc ftatué par la Très Excellente Majefté du Roi, par et de l'avis et confentement du Confeil Législatif et de l'Affe mbiée de la Province du Bas- Canada, conftitués et Affemblés en vertu et fous l'autorité d'un acte paffé dans le Parlement de la Grande Bretagne, intitulé, "Acte qui rappelle certaines parties d'un acte paffé dans la quatorzième "annéedu Règne de Sa Majefté, intitulé, "Acte qui pourvoit plus efficacement pour "le Gouvernement de la Province de Québec dans l'Amérique Septentrionale;” Et qui pourvoit plus amplement pour le Gouvernement de la dite Province," et il eft par le préfent ftatué par la dite autorite, que l'acte ci-devant récité paffé dans la quarante huitième année du Règne de Sa Majefté et auffi l'acte ci-devant récité paffé dans la cinquante unième année du Règne de Sa Majesté, et toutes matières et chofes y conteques, continueront à être en force jufqu'au premier jour de Mai, mil buit cent dix neuf, et pas plus longtems.

AN ACT to continue for a limited time, an Act paffed in the fifty fifth year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, " An Act to grant new duties to His Majefty, to fupply the wants of the Province."

Preamble.

MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN,

WHE

HEREAS an Act was paffed in the fifty-fifth year of Your Majefty's Reign, intituled, "An Act to grant new Duties to His Majefty, to fupply the wants "of the Province;" which faid A&t will expire on the first day of April next, and whereas it is expedient further to continue for a limited time the faid Act; may it therefore please Your Majesty that it be enacted, and be it enacted by the King's Moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the advice and confent of the Legislative Council and Affembly of the Province of Lower-Canada, conftituted and affembled by virtue of and under the authority of an A& of the Parliament of Great-Britain, paffed in the thirty-first year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, "An A&t to repeal "certain parts of an Act made and paffed in the fourteenth year of His Majefty's Act. 55 Geo. 11. Reign, intituled, "An Act for making more effectual provifion for the Government of the Province of Quebec in North-America ;" and to make further provifion for "the Government of the faid Province;" and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the fame, that the above mentioned A&, intituled, "An Act to grant new Du"ties to His Majefty, to supply the wants of the Province;" and all and every the matters and things therein mentioned and contained, fhall continue to be in force, and the Duties by the faid Act impofed, fhall continue to be raised, levied, collected and paid, as in and by the faid A&t it is fpecified and provided, until the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and nineteen, and no longer.
