Application of the money to accounted other manner or way as may be provided and agreed upon between the Legislatures of the Provinces of Lower Canada and Upper-Canada, for the proportion of duties upon fuch goods, wares and merchandize imported into Lower-Canada and paffing into Upper-Canada, which may be found due to the Province of Upper-Canada, or Upper-Canada on its part refunding to this Province fuch part of the aforefajd fum of twenty thoufand Pounds as may exceed the fum of money which, when the faid proportion fhall have been established as herein before mentioned, fhall be found due to the aforefaid Province of Upper-Canada. II. And be it further enacted by the authority aforefaid, that the due application for to His Majesty. of the fum of twenty thoufand Pounds fhall be accounted for to His Majefty, His Heirs and Succeffois through the Lords Commiffioners of His Majefty's Treafury for the time being, in fuch manner and form as His Majefty, His Heirs and Succeffors, fhall direct. CAP. VII. AN ACT to repeal in part an A&t paffed in the fifty fecond year of His (8th March, 1817.) Preamble. Geo. 3. Cap. recited. And it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, that so much of the aforefaid A& paffed in the fifty-fecond year of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, “An Act to facilitate the circulation of Army-Bills," as is herein-before mentioned and recited, fhall be and the fame is from henceforth hereby repealed. II. And whereas it is expedient and neceffary to continue the Army-Bill Office eftablished under and by virtue of the A&t herein-before mentioned, for a limited time, beyond the first day of Auguft next, when by the faid Act the holders of Army. Bills iffued under and in virtue of the fame will be entitled to recover and receive the full amount of fuch Army-Bills in money, with the intereft remaining due thereon, and to provide a further lum of money for the payment of fuch Officers in the faid Army-Bill Office as it may be found neceffary to continue in employ for the purposes of calling in and cancelling and paying all fuch Army-Bills as may remain in circulation after the first day of Auguft next: Be it therefore enacted by the authority aforesaid, that in order to pay fuch Officer or Officers in the faid ArmyBill Office, as the Governor, Lieutenant-Governor or Perfon administering the Government of this Province for the time being, may for the purposes aforefaid think proper to continue in employ from and after the firft day of August, next until the first day of Auguft, one thousand eight hundred and eighteen, it fhall and may be lawful for the Governor, Lieutenant-Governor and Perfon adminiftering the Government of this Province for the time being, to iffue his Warrant for the payment of alum or fums of money not exceeding the fum of feven hundred and fifty Pounds, current money of this Province, out of the unappropriated monies. which now are in or fhall hereafter come into the hands of the Receiver-General. of this Province. W (8th March, 1817.) HEREAS by an A&t paffed in the forty-first year of His Majefty's Reign intituled, " An Act for better regulating the Common belonging to the Town of Three-Rivers," the Chairman and Trustees appointed parfuant to the faid Act, are only authorized to manage and direct the business relating to the laid Common, to concede lot of ground in the fame and to make rules and regulations concerning the faid Common, but are not empowered to furvey or caufe the faid Common to be furveyed, and to fix and establish metes and bounds to the lines and limits of the faid Common and between the fame and the adjacent lands, the property of individuals. In order therefore to fix and establish such metes and bounds as aforefaid, Be it enacted by the King's Moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the advice and confent of the Legislative Council and Affembly of the Province of Lower Canada, conftituted and affembled by virtue of and under the authority of an Act paffed in the Parliament of Great-Britain, intituled, “An A&t to repeal certain parts of an "Act paffed in the fourteenth year of of His Majefty's Reign, intituled, "An A "for making more effectual provifion for the Government of the Province of Quebec "in North-America;" and to make further provifion for the Government of the "faid Province;" and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the fame, that the Chairman and Trustees of the Common of the Town of Three Rivers, fhall from and after the paffing of this Act, have power and authority to caufe the aforefaid he Common of Common to be measured and furveyed and to caufe the limits thereof to be afcertained, and fixed by fuch Surveyor or Surveyors as may be agreed upon by and between the faid Chairman and Trustees and the feveral proprietors of the lots or lands adjoining the aforefaid Common, and to establish metes and bounds as aforefaid, and if neceffary to contract, agree and conclude with the faid proprietors of the adjacent lots or lands aforefaid, concerning the boundary lines of the faid Common in fuch other manner as they the faid Chairman and Trustees may judge expedient and in order to effect all or any of the foregoing purposes: they, the said Chairman and Trustees are hereby authorized and empowered to inftitute and maintain fuch fuit or fuits, action or actions at law as they may deem fit and expedient, any law, ufage or cuftom to the contrary in any wife notwithstanding.
