About the author (2008)

Jim Whiting is a professional editor, writer, and photographer and the author of more than 90 books, chiefly nonfiction works written for children. For 17 years he was editor and publisher of Northwest Runner magazine, a monthly publication. He frequently has written about music and is the author of 15 biographies of classical and modern composers in the Masters of Music series for young readers.
