The General Assembly convened at Newport, on the last Tuesday in May, 1880, (being the 25th day of the month,) in conformity with the provisions of Article IV., of the Constitution as amended by the electors on the first Tuesday of November, 1854; and adjourned on Friday, the 28th day of May, 1880, to meet at Newport on Tuesday, the 8th day of June, 1880, at 11 o'clock A. M.; and on Wednesday, June 9, 1880, adjourned to meet at Providence on the third Tuesday in January (January 18th), 1881, at 11 o'clock A. M.
