Be it ordained and enacted by the Select and Common Councils of the City of Allegheny, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by authority of the same, That the Committee on Streets be and they are hereby authorized and directed to invite and receive proposals for the grading, paving and curbing of East Ohio Street, from McFadden Street to Bridge Street, (cart way to be 20 feet wide,) and to contract therefor with the lowest and best bidder or bidders, at their discretion. SEC. 2. That for defraying the cost and expenses of the same, there is hereby levied a special assessment, (said assessment to be made and collected as provided by the Act of Assembly, entitled "An Act relative to streets in the City of Allegheny," approved April 1st, 1870.) Be it ordained and enacted by the Select and Common Councils of the City of Allegheny, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by authority of the same, That the Sewer Commission be and they are hereby authorized and directed to invite and receive proposals for the construction of a sewer, located as follows, viz: On Sedgwick Street, between Washington and California Avenues, and to contract therefor with the lowest and best bidder or bidders, at their discretion. RESOLUTION Authorizing the purchase of a lot of ground on Nunnery Hill, for water tank for supplying Hill District with water. RESOLVED, by the Select and Common Councils of the City of Allegheny, That the Committee on Water, in connection with the City Solicitor, be and they are hereby authorized to purchase a lot of ground on Nunnery Hill (50x52 feet), from Mr. John Huckenstein, for the sum of $400, upon which to erect a water tank for supplying Hill District with water.
