ORDINANCES.

AN ORDINANCE

Extending the time for the completion of the People's Line Passenger Railway.

SECTION 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the Select and Common Councils of the City of Allegheny, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by authority of the same, That the time fixed for the completion of the People's Line Passenger Railway, which is required by ordinance passed September 23, 1881, to be completed within four months after the passage of said ordinance, be and is hereby extended to June 1, A. D. 1882.

SEC. 2. That so much of any ordinance as may conflict with or be supplied by the foregoing, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Ordained and enacted into a law in Councils this 12th day of January, A. D. 1882.

AN ORDINANCE

Extending the time for the completion of the Park Passenger Railway.

SECTION 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the Select and Common Councils of the City of Allegheny, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by authority of the same, That the time fixed for the completion of the Park Passenger Railway,

which is required by ordinance passed June 9, 1881, to be completed within four months after the passage of said ordinance, be and is hereby extended to June 1, A. D. 1882.

SEC. 2. That so much of any ordinance as may conflict with or be supplied by the foregoing, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Ordained and enacted into a law in Councils this 12th day of January, A. D. 1882.

AN ORDINANCE

Requiring bonds to accompany proposals for furnishing labor, materials or supplies for the use of the City.

SECTION 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the Select and Common Councils of the City of Allegheny, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by authority of the same, That no proposals for furnishing labor, materials or supplies for the use of the City, shall hereafter be considered by any Committee of Councils, unless the same be accompanied by a satisfactory bond equal in amount to the bid.

SEC. 2. That so much of any ordinance as may conflict with or be supplied by the foregoing, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Ordained and enacted into a law in Councils this 12th day of January, A. D. 1882.

AN ORDINANCE

Authorizing a temporary loan of $30,000, to meet current expenses of the

City.

SECTION 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the Select and Common Councils of the City of Allegheny, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by authority of the same, That the

Comptroller be and is hereby authorized to prepare and issue a temporary loan bond of the City to an amount not exceeding thirty thousand dollars, for the purpose of meeting current expenses of the City. Said bond shall mature July 1, 1882, and bear interest at the rate of five per cent. per annum, and shall be payable at the office of the City Treasurer, in the City of Allegheny, Pa.

SEC. 2. Said bond shall be signed by the Mayor and Treasurer, and countersigned by the Comptroller.

SEC. 3. That so much of any ordinance as may conflict with or be supplied by the foregoing, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Ordained and enacted into a law in Councils this 19th day of January, A. D. 1882.

AN ORDINANCE

Re-locating the northern terminus of California Avenue, from the line of I. R. Stayton's property to the southern terminus of Westview Avenue.

SECTION 1. Be it ordained and enacted by the Select and Common Councils of the City of Allegheny, and it is hereby ordained and enacted by authority of the same, That the northern terminus of California Avenue, from the property line of I. R. Stayton to the southern terminus of Westview Avenue, be and is hereby re-located to run direct from the southern line of Sarah C. Campbell's property to the southern terminus of Westview Avenue, according to accompanying plan.

SEC. 2. That so much of any ordinance as may conflict with or be supplied by the foregoing, be and the same is hereby repealed.
