During the past year the Sinking Fund Commission have received eight thousand eight hundred and four dollars and seventy-four cents ($8,804.74) of Troy Hill Assessments; annual appropriations to the different Sinking Funds to the amount of seventeen thousand two hundred and twenty dollars ($17,220.00); eight thousand six hundred and ninetyeight dollars and eighty-five cents (8,698.85) of the General Sinking Fund tax; interest to the amount of seven thousand and sixty-seven dollars and fifty cents ($7,067.50); and thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) from the City on account of the Temporary Loan bonds: making a total of seventy-one thousand seven hundred and ninety-one dollars and nine cents ($71,791.09) received.

During the same time the Commission have redeemed and canceled twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) of Reg. Sewer Refunding seven per cent. bonds, thereby reducing the debt of the City that amount.

The Commission have invested during the past year in twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) of Sewer Renewal bonds, and thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) in the Six Months' Temporary Loan bond of the City, issued January 1st, 1882, which was redeemed July 1st, 1882.

The Commission have earned for the City during the year seven thousand and sixty-seven dollars and fifty cents ($7,067.50) in interest, and since the creation of the Commission in October, 1880, they have earned for the City nine thousand five hundred and sixty-four dollars and sixtytwo cents ($9,564.62) in interest.
