An Act to continue, until the Twenty fifth Day of March One thoufand eight hundred and eleven, an Act for regulating the Drawbacks and Bounties on the Exportation of Sugar from Ireland. [6th April 1810.] THEREAS the A&t hereinafter mentioned has by Experience been found useful and beneficial, and it is expedient that the fame fhould be further continued in manner hereinafter mentioned ;' Be it therefore enacted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That an A&t made in the Forty feventh Year of His prefent Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Ad to provide more effectually for regulating the Drawbacks and Bounties on the ExportaMarch 25,1811, tion of Sugar from Ireland, and for allowing British Plantation Sugar except allowing to be warehoufed in Ireland, until the Twenty fifth Day of March One Sugar to be thoufand eight hundred and eight; and which, by an Act made in warehoused in the laft Seffion of Parliament, was continued until the Twenty fifth Day of March One thoufand eight hundred and ten, shall be, and the fame is hereby further continued, from the faid Twenty fifth Day of March One thoufand eight hundred and ten, until and upon the Twenty fifth Day of March One thousand eight hundred and eleven, except only fo much of the faid recited Act of the Forty seventh Year aforefaid, as relates to the allowing British Plantation Sugar to be warehoused in Ireland, and which, under the Provifions of the faid recited A&t of the laft Seffion, is directed to be warehoused under the Provifions of an Act made in the Forty eighth Year of His prefent Majefty's Reign, for permitting Goods imported into Ireland to be warehoufed or fecured without the Duties due on the Importation thereof being first paid.

II. And be it further enacted, That if on the Fifth Day of May, In what Cafe or on the Fifth Day of September One thousand eight hundred and Drawbacks al ten, or on the Fifth Day of January One thoufand eight hundred lowed, &c. and eleven, respectively, or any or either of the faid Days, it shall ap pear by Notice in the London Gazette in Manner directed by an Act made in the Thirty fecond Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, intituled, An Ad for regulating the Allowance of the Drawback and Payment of the Bounty on the Exportation of Sugar, and for permitting the Importation of Sugar and Coffee into the Bahama and Bermuda Ilands in Foreign Ships, that the Average Prices of Brown or Mufcovado Sugar, taken in Manner directed by the faid recited A& for the preceding Quarter of the Year, fhall not have exceeded Seventy Shillings for an IHundred Weight, exclufive of the Duties of Customs paid or payable thereon on the Importation into Great Britain, then, and in every fuch Cafe the Drawback or Bounty in the Schedules to the faid recited Acts, paffed in the Forty ninth and Forty fifth Years of His prefent Majefty aforefaid refpectively annexed, mentioned as correfponding to or with the Price of which fuch Notice in the London Gazette hall have been given as aforefaid, fhall be paid or allowed until Notice of any other Average fhall be given in the London Gazette, and fuch Drawback or Bounty fhall be paid or allowed in like Manner in every Refpect, and fubject and under and according to the like Rules and Regulations, Restrictions, Penalties and Forfeitures, as any Drawbacks or Bounties were paid or allowed before

before the paffing of the faid firft recited Act, (except as any fuch Rules or Regulations are altered by the faid recited Acts of the Forty ninth and Forty fifth Years aforefaid), and the Whole of the Duty granted by an Act paffed in the Forty firft Year of the Reign of His 45 G. 3. c. 93. prefent. Majefty, intituled, An A&t for granting to His Majefly certain Duties of Customs on Timber, Sugar, Raifins and Pepper, imported into, and on Lead exported from Great Britain, upon Sugar imported into Great Britain by the United Company of Merchants of England trading to the East Indies and warehoused according to Law, and fold at the Sales of the faid Company after the Thirtieth Day of June One thoufand eight hundred and one, fhall upon the Delivery thereof out of Warehouse for Exportation during the Time of any Drawbacks or Bounties being paid or allowed under this Act in reSpect of British Plantation Sugar, be wholly drawn back under fuch Rules, Regulations, Restrictions, Penalties and Forfeitures, as any former Drawbacks are paid and allowed; any Thing in an Act paffed in the Thirty ninth Year of the Reign of His prefent Majelty contained to the contrary notwithstanding.

• III. And whereas by an A&t pafled in the Forty fixth Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, intituled, An Ad for granting to His Majefty, during the prefent War and for Six Months after the Expiration thereof by the Ratification of a definitive Treaty of Peace, additional Duties on certain Goods, Wares and Merchandize, imported into and exported from, or brought or carried Coaftwife within Great Britain, the Lord High Treasurer or the Lords Commiffioners of His Majefty's Treasury, or any Three or more of them, are authorized to fufpend the Payment of the Additional Duties of Customs on Sugar granted by the faid recited Act, either in the Whole or in part, whenever the Average Price of Sugar afcertained as directed by Law fhall be below the Prices men⚫tioned in the faid Act: And whereas it is expedient that during the • Period of fuch Sufpenfion the Countervailing Duties on Refined Sugar imported from Ireland into Great Britain, and the equivalent Drawback or Bounty on the Exportation to Ireland of refined Sugar of the Manufacture of Great Britain, and alfo the additional Bounty on the Exportation of Refined Sugar from Great Britain • other than to Ireland, impofed and allowed by the faid laft recited A&t, should in like Manner be fufpended;' Be it therefore further enacted, That whenever the Lord High Treasurer or the Lords Commiffioners of His Majefty's Treasury for the Time being, fhall exercife the Power vefted in them, and fhall, according to the Directions of the faid A&t, fufpend the Payment of the Whole or Part of the Du ties on Sugar thereby impofed, it fhall be lawful for them, and they are hereby authorized and required, in like Manner, and for the like Period, to fufpend either the whole of the additional countervailing Duties of Cuftoms on refined Sugar of the Manufacture of Ireland, imported from thence into Great Britain, and of the additional Drawback or Bounty on the Exportation to Ireland of Refined Sugar of the Manufacture of Great Britain, and of the additional Bounty on the Exportation of Refined Sugar from Great Britain, other than to Ireland, impofed and allowed by the faid laft recited Act, or fuch Part thereof respectively as fhall bear a juft Proportion to the Amount of Duty fo fufpended.

And be it further enacted, That thefaid recited A&t of the Continuance of Forty third Year of His prefent Majefty, and all the Powers, Provi- 43 G, 3. c. 11. fions, Authorities, Regulations, Claufes, Matters and Things in the faid A&t contained, shall be, and the fame are hereby further continued from the Twenty fifth Day of March One thoufand eight hundred and ten, and fhall be and remain in full Force until the Fifteenth Day of March One thoufand eight hundred and eleven for the Port of London, and until the Twenty fifth Day of March One thoufand eight hundred and eleven for other Parts of Great Britain; and that this Act may be altered, varied or repealed by any Act or Acts to be paffed in this prefent Seffion of Parliament

An Act for further continuing, until the Twenty fifth Day of
March One thoufand eight hundred and eleven, an A& made
in the Thirty ninth Year of His prefent Majesty, for pro-
hibiting the Exportation from and permitting the Importa-
tion to Great Britain of Corn, and for allowing the Import-
ation of other Articles of Provifion, without Payment of
Duty.

Powers and Authorities are given to the Superintendants of Qua-
rantine or their Affiftants, and Power is given to the Commiffioners
of the Treafury to appoint Officers at Chetney Hill, when the
• Lazaret there fhall be completed; but no exprefs Provifion is made

An Act for amending and continuing fo amended until the
Twenty fifth Day of March One thoufand eight hundred and
twelve, an Act of the Forty fifth Year of His prefent Ma-
jefty, for confolidating and extending the feveral Laws in
force, for allowing the Importation and Exportation of cer-
tain Goods and Merchandize into and from certain Ports in
the West Indies.

HEREAS it is expedient that, for a limited Time, the paffed in the Forty fifth Year of His prefent Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Ad to confolidate and extend the feveral Laws now in force, for allowing the Importation and Exportation of certain Goods and Merchandize into and from certain Ports in the Weft Indies, fhould not be reftricted to Veffels having only One Deck ;' Be it therefore enacted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, bý and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Tem poral, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That from and after the paffing of this Act, and until the Twenty fifth Day of March One thousand eight hundred and twelve, it fhall and may be lawful to import and export the Articles in the faid A&t mentioned, at the Ports therein mentioned, under the Rules and Regulations of the faid Act, in any Foreign Sloop, Schooner, or other Veflel, as therein defcribed, although fuch Sloop, Schooner or Veffel fhall have more than One Deck; any Thing in the faid Act to the contrary notwithLanding.
