2.-Notice of Election for a Borough.

In pursuance of a Writ received by me [the Mayor (a)], for electing a Burgess [or Burgesses,

as the case may be] to serve in Parliament for the City [or Borough, as the case may be] of

do hereby give notice, that I shall proceed to election accordingly, on the day of at (b) o'clock in the forenoon, in the [Town-hall or Courthouse, as the case may be], when and where all persons concerned are to give their attendance.

And take notice, that all persons who are guilty of Bribery, at the said election, will, on conviction of such offence, be liable to the penalties mentioned in that behalf in "The Corrupt Practices' Prevention Acts." (c)

And take notice, that all persons who are guilty of Treating or Undue-influence, at the said election, will, on conviction of such offence, be liable to the penalties mentioned in that behalf in "The Corrupt Practices' Prevention Acts."

said, electors of Knights to serve in Parliament
for the said County, of the other part: Witnesseth,
that proclamation having been made by the said
Sheriff, by virtue and in pursuance of the Writ of
our Sovereign Lady the Queen, hereunto annexed,
commanding the said Sheriff to cause to be elected,
of the most fit and discreet of the said County, two
Knights girt with swords, to serve for the said
County in a Parliament to be holden at Westminster
on the
day of next, the said parties to these
presents, together with the major part of the electors
of the said County present at
